The reason gig work is so slow is because businesses are slowing down laying off workers and hours. So the people laid off have to do gig work and are not able to order delivery anymore. The rest who got hours cut can’t tip good anymore.

The thing is with good vs bad orders. If you say ahead of time , that you will only take 2-3x the $$ for every mile traveled , then (except for some rare markets) you will have to multi-app. Because if you only door dash and have that standard you will be stuck in some parking lot a lot of most days. If you can do something productive $$ (some other non app related business ) with that down time then fine but otherwise you lose in the time is money calculation. I haven’t tried multi-apping and I would probably get terminated for pooping on people. So if you only door dash then you really don’t want to let your acceptance rate go below 70%. DD is my second job. But when I do go dashing I need to be reasonable productive. I usually aim for 1:1 offers $$:miles before dinner and 1.25+ during dinner also I try to only take $8 + . But I’ll adjust if it’s slow since making nothing isn’t an option.

Ok here is my hustle post DD: health and life insurance. It’s not exciting but it doesn’t require a degree, many companies will pay for your licensing. First year agents tend to make $65k and by 3rd year, the average is 6 figures because by then you’re going to get residuals which is actually passive income. Idk just saying screw these ungrateful ass customers and companies that exploit us.
