McCulloch Super 33 part 1

Restored ignition with a simple cleaning of the points however she had low compression due to either worn rings and/or the lower two of the three rings are stuck in the piston. Pistons carbon grooves are full and I suspect carbon has locked the other rings in place. I will have to tear her down and replace the rings and clean the piston. I'll also be replacing the coil too as you all see the shape it is in.

A few I have seen are missing or ragged surprisingly the paint is about the only thing on the body that suffered. Also got a super 33 spark plug cover off Ebay today so no more homemade one.

@@mistermacgray I absolutely would love to see it running! Watched another video of one running and they sound cool! I'm hoping to find another project or 2 Saturday as I'm going to a fall festival at a farm museum that has a giant swap meet and there's always a guy there with a huge pile of saws

@@willssmallenginerepairllc5060 never have much time to saw search but hopefully in the future I will be able to. Alot of stuff going on in life but hopefully in the next few years things will ease up and for the better.

@@mistermacgray most of my saws have come from Craigslist, Facebook Marketplace, friends, just dropped off to my house, etc. Since getting into saws last year I've always wanted to make it to this festival which I've only gone to a few times in the past. Plus this time of year work gets a little bit quiet for me so I'm working a modified schedule so I have more time to devote to my side business repairing small equipment, my chainsaw hobby, etc.
