Body on, carb on and I show you how I was told how to set the carb. Should be ready for a test run at least on prime fuel, may try to see if the pump in the tank is any good.

I just bought one of these for $20 from someone on Marketplace. It's a McCoulloch 35 with the flying goose design on the side. It seems to be complete with about an 18" or 20" bar. The chain is rusted and will not move currently but to pull the rope it has amazing compression. That's about all I know about it so far, I literally just brought it home a few hours ago. They look like a one of a kind design, especially the carburetor and related parts so I'm a little concerned that parts are going to be hard to find and expensive depending on what it needs but I'll find out more about it soon when I can look it over real good.

Got any tips for no spark at the points? We are going to open it back up and try cleaning the magnito in the morning

Test the condenser, check if the points are opening and closing as they should, the breaker rod can get gummed up over time, make sure nothing is grounding out.

@@mistermacgray thanks! This is for the drill version that I have never seen before. It’s missing the plunger or button to the left of the trigger, is that the oiler for the chain? 3rd question where can I get a throttle trigger spring? And finally how’s the ground switch work? I got it with nothing attached. Happy to pay for a consult to make this weird old machine a runner.

@@robertspeer drill version won't have an oiler by the trigger, most were on the gear box themselves for the saw gear box. The spring is in the carb for the trigger. The on/off touches the coil to ground out to the body to kill ignition.

When I went to start it, enough but never could get her to start. I found out that I was having spark leak issues when the plug was in the cylinder and it wouldnt fire over more than a couple times for a moment. Still in pieces in a box outside.
