We have a 2021 Lance 1172 and it is awesome! We downsized from a fifth wheel and we really like ease of travel. Fuel and restaurant stops are much easier. No tires, wheel bearings, brakes, safety inspection or registration. It has most everything our fifth wheel had, just on a smaller platform. We highly recommend Lance campers!

What kind of fuel mileage you get hauling Lance compared to 5th wheel?

@@virgilcresswell4994 We have a 2020 Ford F-350 crew cab dually, Power Stroke diesel, 4x4, with a 10 speed auto transmission and 4.10 rear end. Our fifth wheel was a 34’ weighing in around 11,000 lbs/19,000 lbs combined. We would typically get 10-11 mpg. With the Lance 1172 we weigh 13,200 lbs completely loaded (800 pounds under GVWR) with fresh water and 48 gallons of diesel. We usually get 13-13.5 mpg. There’s a learning curve to loading/unloading a truck camper but it gets better each time. If you ever step into a Lance you should feel how solidly built they are. Most RVs, you can push on the walls and they give. These campers don’t give…at all. Super stout and well constructed. And no, I don’t work for Lance.

We ordered ours in July. They said it would be here in November but it wasn’t and then they said March. We finally picked it up about a month ago. Manufacture date says March 2022. We bought a 2018 Dooley dodge ram just for getting a bigger camper but it took this long to get to the point where we could order one. You can pay that much you can expect perfection. It was not perfect they left some kind of stains all over in the bathroom. The tub is not caulked The headboard and piece of fabric does not match our bedspread that they sent. I had to order a new one too much the great interior actually it’s Bronzeite and that’s not what we ordered but that’s what we got. I was pretty disappointed in the storage inside but I just have to downsize what I take. I love the stove I absolutely love the fridge. The magazine rack underneath the TV is kind of a waste. I love the new blinds and I love the windows how they open up. Absolutely love the couch which our 955S did not have of course. I love all the plug-ins for phone. As in all lances one jack has to act up. It’s jacked up LOL. I absolutely love the new microwave with no turntable. The drawers in the fridge are odd at the bottom. I love the vulnerable I wish it had like a runner or carpet pieces to go inside. Thank goodness my husband and son are flooring installers. My Son is going to make some carpet pieces for me. I love the closet by the bed and I love the little storage area above it you can even plug in a phone up there. I’m really glad that there’s no window where the couch is. It makes it feel more like a living room. I love how they put the toilet paper roll holder inside the little cabinet in the bathroom. I think my favorite feature is the stove I absolutely love it it’s so sturdy and easy to clean. I’m not fond of the little plastic piece along the side of the stove that is going to be a pain to keep clean but it Hass to be there. I live this little fold outside table by the sink. Even though the sink is spacious I don’t really use it like that. I have a dish pan inside that I do my dishes in so that I don’t mess up the sink. And then I can drive into the left. All in all pretty happy with new camper.

Oh and another thing is they messed up and gave us the wrong air conditioner now it won’t go in our storage unit. We had a low profile air conditioner and they sent us this big old thing but now we can’t quit the camper in our storage unit
