The biggest problem with the documentary is that Vince didn’t want to talk about the things that would have humanized him more like talking about his childhood, or the acts of kindness he showed to Bruce and others. Vince doesn’t want you to see that side of him, because he perceives it as being soft or weak.

I don't think it's as one note as you claim. I do think it’s possible for Vince to have trouble making public that which he prefers to keep private. He’s shown that he knows how to have fun and he’s shown himself to share information such as his childhood, the abuse from his step father, how it affected him, and the validation and acceptance he yearned to receive from his real father. At the end of the day, not everyone needs to be in your business at all times. Striking that balance can be a challenge. Even expressing emotions can be an intensely private affair, no pun intended.

I'm very surprised the documentary didn't touch on WWE's direct influence and possible impact on the 2000 General Election. They slowly started advertising their version of get out the vote then ramped it up week by week. At first seeming impartial, but gradually becoming a full blown extension of the Republican National Party with Michael Cole interviewing Linda at the RNC and multiple talent appearing there including the Rock. Most notably the Raw's leading up to the election were anything but impartial and memorably the one in Florida held just before Election night had King/Jr. openly endorsing Bush and making fun of Gore. I know JR has gone on his podcast with regrets saying politics wasn't lane and WWE should've stayed out of it. WWE's direct influence may have determined the election given how pivotal Florida was to the victor in the General Election and recounts there were put before the Supreme Court. Just shocking to me that it wasn't covered because they were outwardly endorsing a candidate and seemingly kickstarting Linda McMahon's political career.

I understand that you have to paint a balanced picture, but Conrad mentioned it yesterday...when you do a biography on Adolf Hitler or Josef Stalin, it would be insulting to the attrocities they committed to spend half the time talking about how much Hitler liked dogs, or Stalin appreciated fine wine(I don't know if he did). Same with Vince. I thought they were quite fair. The part were they showed Vince being a hypocrite was because HE WAS one when he said those things. People HAVE "died" in storyline. There have been guns. There has been rape. I might feel differently if the Janel Grant lawsuit was completely isolated, but it's not...not even close. It's another in a long line of horrible behavior by a bully of a man. The gave props to him taking his business to great heights, and making stars, but pimping out employees just because you can is worthy of Vince being in prison!

IIRC Grant filed the lawsuit because Vince paid her and got her to sign an NDA, they up and decided to simply not pay her, so she filed the lawsuit.
