84 F-250 LIVES!!!

This is a 1984 F-250 my friend Matt owns; she started out with an 84 motor that had a crack in the block(block heater area) and ran on 7 cylinders(We still got it running under it's own power after sitting for 7+ years).
Pulled the motor and c6, and installed a '87 6.9 and ZF-5. It's currently got a 6.9 SMF, with a random 7.3 clutch disk and pressure plate(from a DMF).
The crossmember was modified to make it fit, with a lot of welding. Frame Bolts were in the same spot. Either way... it runs!
Exhaust... What exhaust? Got nothing beyond the manifolds. It sounds surprisingly quiet at idle, and AWESOME under load.

That area is just the water jacket if it's only on the outside, though.

Yeah; someone had JB welded it and (mostly) fixed the leak. The 'running on 7' (even after swapping good injectors into it) was the big issue. Possibly valve train or completely gone rings or something; that motor hasn't been torn into yet - it's still in the pile of motors awaiting time. (I've got plans to take that one and if we can get it running right, it will be a trial for upsizing the head bolts to 1/2" or 9/16"... then crank the boost to the moon! Crack be d**ned!)
