While I'm watching your youtube videos, I follow your flights on another monitor using flightaware and get to kinda ride along and see the weather and terain from a birds eye view. I also used to work for RGE as a rep in their green energy department implementing energy efficient programs for small business years ago now I deliver mail for the post office for about 7 years and I am 27 hours into my 40 hours for my PPL! ​​⁠Physics and aerodynamics impact what planes can do based upon design. It’s impossible for one plane to be capable of everything so that’s why it’s best to find one that fits your usage or mission. It would be great to go faster, cruise higher and carry more but the reality of the next step up gives only 25% more capability at over 200% of the cost of Vision Jet.

@@DonAv8s i feel for the price the speed is there, the room is there for a great amount of the population, the 31k ft for me is good but yes would like to see FL41k-45k. but overall if i had the money i would get the vision jet. its a plane that seems to do just about all. and has good range.

Amazing! iam piloting a Vision too but in the FS2020. I have some questions, like, the Probe Heat need to be on all the flight? i live in brazil and here in my state the temp is always high. Thank you!

Hello, and thank you for the question! Yes, the probe heat is required for takeoff and all phases of flight. It is a five minute timeline on the ground so you cannot turn it on too soon before takeoff and cannot keep it on too long after landing. You will find it in the flight levels. It is always below freezing, no matter where you are in the world. Therefore, probe heat is required at higher altitude.

Shirt flights and low altitude are not an efficient mission for any jet engine. You probably won’t need probe heat but the avionics will give you a crew alert message.

Hi Mark, thanks for watching. Congratulations on retirement. I ‘retired’ in 2014 and realized I didn’t have enough hobbies. Flying is what I like to do and spend my time. I am sure you’re may feel the same way. I am sure the SF50 type rating would be a breeze for you compared to the A321 and other airframes you’ve flown. Its amazing all the capability they have thrown into a single engine, 315 TAS aircraft. Email me if you need any info about the SF50 pro pilot market and get more info. The interesting thing is the SF50 fleet is, at least now, is mainly owner-flown as a transition from piston planes (generally speaking). There are some charter operations flying SF50. Thanks for the question…. First of all, I really like the throttle of the SF50…. There are not wires or physical connections for the throttle lever. The system senses the position or angle of the throttle lever and sends data to the FADEC and ECU to produce or reduce thrust. The feel is very smooth and linear. The jet featured in most of my videos is a Generation 1 SF50, which does not have auto throttle. I fly various other G2 and G2+ SF50’s and use auto throttle mainly for descents and approach to landing. Its a nice feature, but only functions if the plane is using auto pilot.

That statement is an over simplification of weather navigation. Planes should never deliberately fly into powerful thunderstorms or areas of lightning. In addition, you cannot climb above an aircrafts service ceiling to fly over weather. The SF50 service ceiling is between 28000 and 31000 ft so most summer thunderstorms reach well above that. Flying into turbulence requires a speed reduction to Vo which is around 150 KIAS in the SF50. Most airliners avoid buildups and lighting even in much larger aircrafts.
