Yea bud! Thanks for a great video!! Too bad it was so windy! Next time I'm glad you at least had fun!! If you don't want to wait for cool downs, I suggest getting a squirt bottle with some cold water and run it through everything and it will help with the wait times between runs! Also reading the papers that come with the motors will tell you the information you need to know on timing, that's how I learned. I didn't even know until recently that it was a thing lol!

@@RDM-RC Thx man! Yea def not ideal conditions but excited to into the 80’s with a different boat. Great idea on the water bottle, I’ll make one and give it a try.

Nice passes & nice save at 1:35 there 👍 I was gonna say, take a look at Neu motors and what they recommend but 'some guy' already covered that in your comments 😅 ..my experience messing with timing so far has shown that you will get an increase in top speed to a point, so it's best to go up an increment and check your data and temps. It's super tedious, but if you're trying to squeeze every last mph out of it.. every little bit helps

@@scaleworksRC Yea I’ll prob try messing with it once it’s maxed out and I get stuck at a certain speed but since it seems to be running well, prob gonna roll with it and prop up. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it 😂😂

Congrats, nice speed, great ride attitude. Funny thing as I watch videos in the winter how cool everything stays. I know when I run my boats in the summer air can get 115. Water can be 95, the temps on the electronics go way up. Great job love the video.

@@markgambetta1704 Yea definitely the best time to run is in the winter here, temps would have been at least 10-15 degrees hotter during the summer when it’s a dang oven out here lol

When you go up in timing, it basically increases rpm, but decrease the amount of torque. (You need torque from the motor to turn a prop) Steve nue recommended d 0-7.5° W 7.5-15° (0-15°) 0° is a safe timing for any motor, maximum torque. If you increase timing, I recommend propping down on your first run with the higher timing because you decreased the torque. Typically increasing timing adds heat to a setup. incrementally step the timing up or down until you achieve an efficient running setup. Hope this helps.

Congrats on the 84mph. Yes, I’m not at the level of data logging yet, like you but it all seems reasonably straightforward when you know the variables. Push on, well done 👍 🍻

@@gidohc Yea gonna head to the other lake that’s a bit wider, hopefully will be able to get full trigger quicker and hold for longer. I’ll try moving with lipos back and tabs up a hair if it’s topped out. May try taking a bit off the rudder too

Don't use data, don't use timing... But what makes sense to me is that you only need to stay under 350A because that's whats esc rated for give or take. And it might be handy so you could see differences between props, ampdraw, rpm (think that's and important one), and the corresponding speeds to that prop. Can tell you if my prop cavitates like that it probably ends up in my "not favorite/will see later bin" because i feel its not going to be the fastest and annoyes me. If its true, don't know. Probably B could tell that better. I personally would go bigger with less rake. Just my guts, not based on measurements or experience. But nice, good start i would say!!!

@@peteroosterhoff8850 Def a decent first few runs, gonna try to prop up incrementally, hopefully it can handle the 44mm. I’ll check what rpm’s it was hitting on that last run. I think any prop I run that has a high pitch is gonna cavitate a bit on start up but hopefully make up for it on the top end.
