I've never had a song hit so close to home. I'm on the other end of the spectrum. I never knew Jack like I do now and I wish I didn't. It ruined my family. I heard this song for the first time the other day and finally lost it. I never had an issue with any kind of liquor until it sent a raging drunk into my life that tormented me and children until we couldn't take it anymore. It can made the most amazing man I've ever loved a complete monster.

What it means is losing everything to alcoholism like I almost did in August of 2018. My 17 yr old daughter would play this for me, at the time due to being drunk all the time, I didn't realize this song was her way of reaching out to me to stop drinking. By the Grace of God and my loving family and friends, I've beat alcoholism.
