I had the same has shroud on mine. I did not know over the years that rain you got in between the bed and the cab and filled up the shroud with water. I didn't realize that it rusted one side of the gas tank out on my 87 C10 long bed still working on it.

Nice job man! I'm planning on doing mine someday too! and I want to switch over to a holley Efi so this vid will help me at least figure out how to take off the tank and put the new one in!

I think this same tank was used in 87 which would have been efi. The 87 sending unit has a spot for a fuel pump.

@@mjmcomputers Hmmm that would make it a really easy conversion, but mine is an 84 so I probably don't have that tank.

Nice tutorial but why did you switch tanks during the test drive i thought you only replaced the sending unit ant drivers side tank, Or am i missing something

Single tank on this one. The tank was leaking so I replaced the tank and sending unit.

Nice job man now that i see you took the gas tank that easy i think I’m going remove my since i have the bed off the truck to paint the frame so i can paint that part of the frame too

The hardest part is getting the bed off so shouldn’t be too bad since yours is already off unless it’s rusty.

Been there, done that! My short bed has two tanks, so it was double the fun! Without a bobcat's help. Haha!

No fun, without the bobcat I may have tried to do it without removing the bed. The bobcat definitely made it easier.

Where i live in canada its illegal to have straight pipes, and the pipe has to go past the cab. But kids in my school dont understand that. Most kids just cut the exhaust off right under the floorboards and call it straight piped. But the cops around here are pretty cool with it as long as your not rattling windows downtown they wont care. But i like makin some noise but its so overdone im just gonna leave the muffler i have on.

This glasspack is 10x quieter than the blown out muffler and I’d prefer to have the exhaust all the way out the back but the tailpipe was special order. The turn down at least makes it legal here and I’ll add the tailpipe later.
