Great to see your restoration job Andrew 👍🏼. What do you recommend to use when ultrasonic cleaning carburetors? Thank you 👍🏼

I use a 22L Ultrasonic cleaner, which can take a bank of 4 inline carbs and Berryman Chem Dip Carburetor and Parts Cleaner reduced down by 50% with water. I heat the solution to 50 C and run the carbs through for 30mins, repeat if necessary. Remove all the fuel/air jets and needles before cleaning and place the jets separately in the cleaning basket. Do not include the needles as the plating can be easily damaged, clean these by hand. Do not leave the carbs in to soak for more than 30 mins at a time as the alloy can stain, particularly if the solution is partly used.

i got a vf1000f is consuming cooling what could it be?

If there is no obvious external leak then most likely it’s a head gasket. Also check your engine oil to make sure it’s not contaminated with coolant. It will have a milky look to it if that’s the case.
