For Olympic lifting aficienados, this is absolutely priceless footage, in terms of historical significance and video quality. We have one of the most noteworthy "muscleless wonders" in the person of Asen Zlatev, hoisting weights far above what anyone in his category is doing now, more than 20 years on. It's bittersweet to see the great Anatoly Khrapaty competing as a lightheavy, prior to his ascension to 90 kg. immortality (235 kg in C&J!). He later died tragically in a motorcycle accident.

THERE WERE 76 AND 83 KG CLASSES DURING 1993-1997, THE SNATCH RECORDS IN THE 77 AND 85 KG CLASSES ARE VERY COMPETTIVE TO THE OLD CLASSES
