86 nissan d21. clutch pedal switch install.

HI bro, my name is Tony. I need ur help with my Nissan pickup truck 94 5spd Manuel that I adjusted the timing witch I started clank to TDC when down the truck align the oil pk to it's mark n the rotor points on the # 1 on l celinder at 5:oo direction, it ran weak n boubdown n hot , what do I do next. K. The problem could be as simple as the oil pump being off by a single tooth. Or the timing could be more off than it appears. 🤔 If the timing on your 95 is the same as on my 86...then the timing is a bit more involved than on other vehicles. On my d21, there's at least three timing marks that have too be in the correct position along with #1 cylinder. But you'll never know if all timing marks are where they need too be unless you remove the timing chain cover. I learned about this contraption called a "whistler" that makes finding top dead center on #1 cylinder incredibly easy. You remove spark plug on #1 cylinder and insert the whistler. As you manually turn crankshaft pulley clockwise. As you're coming to TDC on compression stroke the whistler will whistle. It should stop whistling the exact moment you reach TDC. As long as everything else is correct, the timing marks should also be in their respective positions. Then it's only a matter of reinstalling timing chain cover. And the oil pump and distributor. Installing the oil pump was the hardest thing for me. Took me quite a few tries too get it right. I checked the timing on my small block 350 using the whistler and by removing the timing chain cover so I could be 100% sure the engine was properly timed. I recorded the process on that but haven't edited or uploaded the footage cause the software I use has been glitching on me.

@@pangyang4239 when you turn engine on, how does she run at idle? How does she run when you hit the gas?

@@almagam2099 when it idle 1000 n hit the gas it doesn't respond it's boubdowm or die or runs terrible.

cut my wires on clutch switch , and capped them off with a wire nut - problem solved on 1987 - D -21

@@paulharnad777 i thought about doing the same thing. But thought, with my luck, I'll probably mess it up. So I thought it best too just install a new switch. 😅
