📖 Our Story:
We bought this stone house in Italy during the pandemic in 2020. The house was a ruin and we saved everything we could, unfortunately that meant only four stone and clay walls! The back wall, against the terrain, was close to collapse; the roof beams were eaten and basically reduced to dust; the inside separation walls were easily taken down and the whole project turned into a heavy renovation/rebuild.

I kept waiting for the handle reveal, and then I noticed the backing (wood grain) was very pretty in the holes, and it finally dawned on me that the holes were the handles, lol. Nice detail!

Little spoilesport here - as an architect that worked my whole professional life with construction and renovation of rental apartments I‘d never use these, as lovely as they look. They are going to be a p.i.d.a. to clean, and I am not sure how well they work with the heavier doors of the fridge (depends how well one can grip the edge of the hole)

Love, love, love this! Perfect color choice - blends well with the earth tones throughout. The minimalist design of the recessed pulls is awesome. And that cutout on the under-counter sink opening was a nail-biter! Vince has a steady hand on that jigsaw. Kudos!

Your kitchen furniture looks wonderful. Amazing color! Congratulations, Couple! Allow me to make a comment considering my experience with kitchens. Cabinet door handles are not ideal, since the way they were made (built-in), over time they will be a difficult place to clean and can be a place for grease deposits from food preparation, even with the use of exhaust fans. In addition, these places serve as hiding places for insects. I suggest that you apply varnish to the laminate in the parts you cut to place the sink bowl and cooktop to ensure a longer lifespan for the material.Congratulations on the delicate and careful way during assembly. Very good!!

The kitchen front looks really great. Much better than the original ones 🙂 Only one hint for the kitchen sink and the hob if you don' tmind: When doing the cut outs in your countertop it's recommended to put either a thin film of silicone on the cutting edges or put aluminium tape on it. This will protect the wood from moisture.

I'd recommend putting wooden blocks under the dishwasher plastic feet, so they don't extend a whole lot... more stability!

Tip, very important: your refrigerator cannot be kept inside a wood box! It must uncovered, a foot or 25cm away from the back wall and the sides must also allow a lateral flow of air to cool the serpentine!

After your last video introducing CUBRO I called them. They were super helpful. I told them I was interested in the Linoleum range! As I suspected - and hoped - she confirmed that the linoleum would patinate over time, as do all natural materials, and take on almost a 'leather look'. I haven't decided on the colour yet and I will probably go for the rectangular handles but I can't wait to get the samples to help me choose the colour!

The name Linoleum comes from the Latin words linum (flax) and oleum (oil) and was originally manufactured by the Linoleum Manufacturing Company Ltd. at a factory in Staines on Thames, near London in 1864, using ingredients essentially like those Vincent described.

I am impressed with the beautiful green organic finish in your kitchen. For interesting sake: The old linoleum was first used in 1860 and made of rubber and used until mid 1900. Then polyvinyl/ novilon took over. Glad to learn about new linoleum.

First the color is perfect, cream and olive green are both softer contrast with the floors. The idea to 'not' use nobs or handles/pulls was again- perfect-... You have married modern and rustic beautifully. With the house almost ready to move in, I hope we will see summer working on the terraces, and of course, welcome home party on the patio...
