As a commercial floor cover I will say you did a fine job on carpet sir! As for those vinyl transitions (you call them tracks). You should be able to find those at a flooring supply house. Maybe try tools 4 flooring or Fishmans flooring.

Love the Channel! I have 1994 with 2150 hours on it. Just replaced the whole steering system on mine. May replace my carpet next winter while in storage. My driver seat has a different base than you 1992 so I am still trying to figure out how to remove it. I am going to try making a pattern out of contractor paper before tearing mine out. Hope you are not missing out on any ski time!

Man, I didn’t ski one time last summer. Will definitely change that this year.

I’m restoring a 1979 and really like how this turned out, how has it held up and where did you order your carpet from?

I replaced all decals (there’s a video of it on my channel). You can buy them at nautiqueparts.com. However, they don’t give color options anymore.

Did you replace the pylon? Any experience taking one out? Having issues with mine and looking for guidance.

I did not have to do anything to it. I’ve never messed with one but hear it’s a pain. Sorry, and good luck.

What kind of wire brush did you use to remove old carpet remains and glue? I stared with a flapper disc and I think I’m going to deep.
@MakeSkiBoatsGreatAgain2 жыл бұрын
I’m not exactly sure what to call it. The wires are pretty heavy duty and look like they are in individual braids going around. I could have easily gone to far into the fiberglass with too much pressure or time in one spot. Very much a quick and dirty feel job.

Approximately how much time did the entire process take? Want to do my 1990 Supra Mariah but want to get an idea of what I’m getting myself into first. Either way, great work and I’m enjoying following along on your projects.

I'm about to put out the next carpet video which will consume about half the time. I'm not really leaving a lot out of these videos so... Maybe 6-8 Hours total???

how many gallons of glue did it take you to do the whole boat?
