@MechanicalMusicTravels it indeed is, I was there, Phone in my right best pocket, trying to get some footage as I don't yet own a camera, hoping to start my own fair one day. Still a good video though!!

I could tell it needs a bit of a tune up but still has a proper galloper sound to it! I'm pretty sure those lady figures are missing the horns they look similar to the ones on the Marenghi/Verbeeck organ The Rose.

This organ was actually built as a 75 key barrel organ - the outer figures are original, but the bandmistress was added later, possibly in the 1980's?

@@MechanicalMusicTravels was looking at a video of Pleasureland Southport in the 1990’s the other day and a shirt shot of an organ came up looks almost the same as this one in your video. Here’s the link. kzbin.info/www/bejne/fqquapd-oa2km8Usi=1V4M6ihVpvFovWa2

@@HarryYT22 Interesting! It's the same organ, I'm not sure when it went to Hollycombe but it must've been in the late '90s - early 2000's.

@@MechanicalMusicTravels Ah interesting! in that clip the bandmaster looks hideous plus it wasn't playing either sounded like a CD was playing

@@HarryYT22 I don't think the organ was being maintained anymore at that stage unfortunately.

I'm sure its Holycombe policy of "if it plays a tune, that will do".At least you can tell what its playing but it could do with a bit of TLC.

It's not too bad by past Hollycombe standards, it was worked on quite a bit by Andy Leach a couple of years ago, it does need a good tune up though.

It has always sounded like that, like a travelling organ would in its heyday @@MechanicalMusicTravels

@@karlplastow9185 Indeed - I find it has a lot of character, and in a good way too!

Absolutely nothing wrong with it considering it's left outside. The only issue it had at the time was the bass drum action, which is an easy fix. We were exhibiting with another organ but if I was a volunteer and allowed to interfere with it I'd have done it that day for them.
