This is the Trento - Bondone hillclimb, which I'd say it's a legendary hillclimb race been held since the 1920's. It's here in my hometown and this in the video is only about half the length of it! You can try it on Assetto Corsa ;) edit. watching the video now I'm not sure the onboard is from Trento Bondone, but I'm sure the outside footage is from Trento Bondone hillclimb

It’s unusual to FIND a driver that can and will listen to the engine. I remember the 1950-60’swhen a lot of small non sanction drag strips, a lot of people didn’t have tachs in their cars, but they did listen to the engines and would drive by the sounds and feel of their cars. BRAVO SKODA DRIVER!!!!

Wow reminds me of the old BTCC cars I used to love watching. This really was an amazing example of how to properly set up the suspension on a front wheel drive race car. Absolutely zero push and it’s turn in was razor sharp. That was a pleasure to watch

most likely around 8,500RPM as that was the maximum permittited with Super Touring, which is what Im gussing this Octavia is based on.

@@darylyatestransportblogs The ABF engine, according to Wikipedia, had peak power at 6,000 rpm and would probably redline around 7k. That is useless information though because this specimen will have all kinds of internal modifications and racing camshafts to get 300 NA horses out of the two liters. I bet that engine was not cheap to make double the power it had when it left the factory.

And I totally agree with you about Danti's abilities. I already looked at the video you mentionned and others just after watching this video. The man is impressive. I was just trying to say that a I wasn't expecting a such extrem driving and impressive shots while the video title is mentionning a Skoda Octavia Wagon.
