You should replace the distributor cap and rotor at the same time

Is there anything you have to do before replacing distributor cap and rotor or just take it off and change? I have new spark plugs in mine I’m thinking about replacing wires and ignition coil tomorrow since there all original to just have some new stuff on the truck mine is a 95 ka24e pickup. Also I’ve been having some acceleration issues lately sometimes it gets up and goes sometime it lacks power and idk why? No cel so anything helps. Btw it has 106,000 miles on it

Whats that noise when you first start it up mine does the same thing lol
@curtfox914 жыл бұрын
Timing Chain rattle it happens on all of these. Its cause oil has not made it to the chain yet once its lubricated it stops.

For those spark plugs you should have of made sure they were calibrated to the correct I believe should be .044 sometimes they say they come calibrated but they really don’t & just buying them and putting them on jst like that no good cuz if it ain’t calibrated right it they won’t function properly or it’ll jst get worse instead

Those NGK Plugs come Gapped you can check with a Gap tool to see. If you use a different brand that maybe a different case but i never had an issue been using the same plugs for Years and Years.
