Hi Daniel, Firstly I’m sorry to hear that you’ve struggling but as a seasoned Clinical Psychologist I very much applaud your tenacity and appreciate your candor about your mental health struggles. Especially since you influence so many your candor, as well as your obvious creativity, is helping many people. As you know I’ve been a supporter of yours since day one 👍. Okay, so for myself, I needed to put resin on hold for a bit also as I broke two feet. Fortunately due to telemedicine I didn’t have to abandon my patients. I am happy to report that I have been “back on my feet.” I was able to make a bunch of Christmas gifts using your collaborative resin and let’s resin alcohol inks with c deeper. I posted my lot of gifts on the let’s resin chat. Today I am following thru with your experiment: I made four sets of cabochons, I.e., Fast set resin on and off heat mat and collaborative resin on and off heat met. Looking forward to sharing my results 🥰 Deb

@@daniel..cooper oh that would be nice! I envy you being able to get products from them for free… I wish I could do that… I am on a fixed income because I am on SSDI… I would love to be able to go back to work but my spine is completely fused, I cannot drive and I have seizures … so, I would LOVE to get their products to test out! I got a nice monetary gift of $500 for Christmas and so I bought 2 of the Let's Resin 2 gallon kits for $256… they were on sale for $128 each… they are normally listed for $144 and their one gallon kits are $95… it would have cost me $380 if I would have had to buy 4 of their one gallon kits to get the 4 gallons of resin… I saved $124 buying 2 of their 2 gallon kits… I also just found out that I could have used one of the discount codes on Amazon for an additional 10% off that price… I thought those codes were just for the Let's Resin website :( …. Oh well, now I know…. I should have plenty of Resin to last me for a while… as long as I a. Not making anything that requires half a gallon of resin at a time lol….

Happy New Year Dan - glad you’re on the up again 😊 This was interesting to see. I’ve used the JDiction 4 hour resin and frankly don’t like it much. I’m sure the room temperature is a large part of it, but I find it hard to get rid of the bubbles and like you found - the viscosity can be hard to work with. Took over 8 hours to cure so no real advantage.

Mate sorry to hear you have what I say is personal love that sometimes stops you from doing what you want when you need it most . I myself have the same love. I'm sure there are many that fear what we need to talk about more. In another side I use resin pro delux and its thick as . Aka high viscosity resin. I love it for Petri because I can warm it like you said mix pour and get into dripping alcohol inks ASAP and sinker straightaway. Wait a few mins maybe hit it with a long nose lighter then stir all ten twenty mins later max and get amazing results . As always great video great affects never distrust yourself. Just go with the flow of resin .. I highly recommend resinpro delux it's an amazing resin just not cheap also great for coating and canvas coating 😉. As always big hugs and love my Freind stay strong stay at it 😉🫶❤️👌👊💪🫵got this

Also adding the black it will stay rubber like for a day if not longer why I wait and use acrylic paint instead and save my ink
@the.resintist2 жыл бұрын
Just like to add with resinpro delux it sets from the bottom up so waiting for the stringy in the resin isn't always good as I've gone to stir and the whole thing moves together if I put my stirrer down into the resin why I only give it 10/20 mins max before stirring but that also can change with heat or amount or alcohol inks used . I think the alcohol on top can give you a deception of what's going on underneath. So my conclusion was stir earlier rather than later and it doesn't seem to effect the end result 🤷 . But one thing that's obvious the heat mat does effect the timings 😉👌🫶💪🫵👊👍
