The 1960’s thru 1970’s produced some of the best bands and music. They were the forerunners of much of today’s music. So glad I grew up with it. Eric was so shy and reserved when he first started. As he performed more he got better and more animated. ❤❤

Late 70s early 80s hell of a time for a lot of things music foremost. What a time to be alive. I turned 20 in 78 so this was my wheel house. So many great bands touring at the time. Saw all I could! From Cat Stevens to Ozzy. From Heart to Alice Cooper. Chicago to Floyd. The diversity unreal. Allman Brothers Doobie Brothers every body was a brother! Unless you were just an asshole wasn't to much to hate. One show I saw Molley Hatchet, The Outlaws, and Lynard Skynard. What a show. Cost me 12 bucks! Still have ticket stub. I can't wash my fucking car for 12 bucks anymore.

Saw the Eric Burden Band at the 9:30 Club in Washington, DC in the 80s and right before he went on stage, he signed my Animals Greatest Hits album on the front cover. When I handed it to him, he said, "Haven't seen this one in a while!" When I saw them that night, they had more of Texas Blues feel to them than they did in this video, sort of like ZZ Top style.

I saw a bgood musical mate who is very informed on talent and great artists and we were talking about Eric. My mate loves Alice in Chains and the great guitar and innovation of Jerry Cantrell. For sure Layne Staley is a great rock and accoustic music singer. Another pair of guitarist with singer is MC Cabe and Richard Ashcroft of early Verve also were astonishing. All of them haven't had the acclaim of Liam and Noel Gallagher. Bob Dylan for me is great but his vocals are marmite. Stevie Marriott out of the Small Faces and Humble pie is another who never had the acclaim he so richly deserved. All of them should be in the rock and Roll hall of fame, Hawkwind too. It's a bunch oaccountants dictating what is good and marketed aggressively otherwise Roy Buchanan would've been recognised in a huge way for being the king of the telecaster.
