I concur it's one of the best mods a person can install. Especially if you run on fire roads with alot of ruts or coming off ledges. I considered teraflex speed bumps but when these came out. I was like it's the same concept but 600$+ cheaper. Best decision I did.

Maybe it is just the camera lens effects / angle or the bump stop behind combined with the dual rate spring changes, but that front driver spring looks a little bent toward you just below the dual rate transition at 10:24. May want to eyeball that versus the passenger side. Hopefully nothing, but you may have damaged the spring too?

Great question... I have to do it in a two step process. Jack from the center of the front axle and put your jack stands in position on the frame rails by the front body mounts. Carefully remove the tires and then let the jack down to rest on the jack stands under the frame and droop all the way down. 👍

@@AutoEdits negative reviews are mainly from cold weather affecting them and making them rock hard. That doesn’t bother me as I live in Australia so it’s warm. But I’ve also seen some reviews say they are quite stiff. Are those bump stops made for your lift ? I see there an inch or so taller ? If replacing on a stock jeep aren't you limiting travel on the suspension ! I can see the need in a lift and even limit straps so you don't blow out your shocks . But I think taller bump stops on stock wouldn't be a good idea
@kswyg001
@kswyg001 4 жыл бұрын
The stock bumpstops are trash, they basically compress flat and are made for much slower speeds. I imagine these guys would work for high or low speeds and give you a softer landing than the stock stops. So they're not specific for a lift but they work with the lift because he's got additional bumpstop pads. For stock, it'll just soften the lower limit, it's not a hard stop like that factory when you compress the factory one that compresses entirely to the cup.

@AutoEdits
@AutoEdits 4 жыл бұрын
On the rear, for sure. In the front... you might if you don't have MetalCloak springs. They are thicker and don't offer enough room to fit the bump through... even at full droop.

Are the pucks/extenders on the lower side of the setup stock, or is that another aftermarket option to consider?

Just so no one else makes the same stupid mistake I did. The bump stops are different between the front and the rear. The rear are bigger in diameter. I figured it out after about the 10th try. What a bone head I are! 🤪

@@AutoEdits that’s a little different than prolonged teens to -20. I’ve talked to a couple of guys out west in higher altitudes and northern states that had to swap them out. They are great in the summer. Smooth ride. Just bricks in the winter.
