Just installed these and tested. I did a before and after test drive. What a difference. I didn’t have to remove my RK springs. I was able to squeeze it in while it was unloaded. Awesome simple upgrade. No maintenance of other styles of bump stops.

I concur it's one of the best mods a person can install. Especially if you run on fire roads with alot of ruts or coming off ledges. I considered teraflex speed bumps but when these came out. I was like it's the same concept but 600$+ cheaper. Best decision I did.

Just did this upgrade on my Jeep, based on the recommendation here. It is a worthwhile upgrade. My front stock bump stops crumbled in my hand as I removed them. Very, very happy with this replacement.

Maybe it is just the camera lens effects / angle or the bump stop behind combined with the dual rate spring changes, but that front driver spring looks a little bent toward you just below the dual rate transition at 10:24. May want to eyeball that versus the passenger side. Hopefully nothing, but you may have damaged the spring too?

These are a must on any vehicle that tows or attempts to bottom out.....I use timbren springs on ram with 6inch lift. They reduced body roll and stress off the springs.

I did the rear, no problem! For the front, wear did you put your jack stands? Can't use the axle sice I need the droop. I could see your were behind, but I couldn't tell exactly wear they were. Thanks!

Great question... I have to do it in a two step process. Jack from the center of the front axle and put your jack stands in position on the frame rails by the front body mounts. Carefully remove the tires and then let the jack down to rest on the jack stands under the frame and droop all the way down. 👍

I can't even imagine what negative reviews can be about foam bumpstops but I've been very happy with them. Even after replacing the fronts from over use... they were still actually fine and I held on to them as spares. Excellent cheap upgrade that works.

@@AutoEdits negative reviews are mainly from cold weather affecting them and making them rock hard. That doesn’t bother me as I live in Australia so it’s warm. But I’ve also seen some reviews say they are quite stiff. One reviewer said they were super stiff at first and he waited thinking they just needed time to work in but they remained stiff so he swapped them out. How long did yours last before you replaced them?

Ok just did my bump stops on a 2016 sport 2dr.that is stock don't waste your time with the spring compressor just drop the sway bar its a few shield press ins 4 bolts for the sway bar and the 2 lower shock bolts. I tried to use the compressor and no way more work on a stock JEEP, watch the rubber brake lines and ABS don't get pulled too tight almost got me not watching after that it was very easy

Are those bump stops made for your lift ? I see there an inch or so taller ? If replacing on a stock jeep aren't you limiting travel on the suspension ! I can see the need in a lift and even limit straps so you don't blow out your shocks . But I think taller bump stops on stock wouldn't be a good idea

The stock bumpstops are trash, they basically compress flat and are made for much slower speeds. I imagine these guys would work for high or low speeds and give you a softer landing than the stock stops. So they're not specific for a lift but they work with the lift because he's got additional bumpstop pads. For stock, it'll just soften the lower limit, it's not a hard stop like that factory when you compress the factory one that compresses entirely to the cup.

On the rear, for sure. In the front... you might if you don't have MetalCloak springs. They are thicker and don't offer enough room to fit the bump through... even at full droop.

Just so no one else makes the same stupid mistake I did. The bump stops are different between the front and the rear. The rear are bigger in diameter. I figured it out after about the 10th try. What a bone head I are! 🤪

These things absolutely suck in cold climates. They turn into bricks. They are good in the summer months but in wyoming summer is on a month or 2 🤣🤣

@@AutoEdits that’s a little different than prolonged teens to -20. I’ve talked to a couple of guys out west in higher altitudes and northern states that had to swap them out. They are great in the summer. Smooth ride. Just bricks in the winter.
