Man… you have no idea how lucky you are that those torx bolts holding down the seatbelts came out that easy, I’ve used an impact drill, lube, hammer and chisel to get rust off, heat gun… I’ve been working on the driver side bolt all day and it won’t budge… hasn’t been out in 34 years so I knew it would be tough but damn. Glad you got yours out easily!

That is a beautiful truck. That rust isn't too bad. I had a 92 Cheyenne with a hole in the drivers side floor pan and my window crank fell through it once haha

Awesome video, man. I have an 89 C1500 that I am working on right now. I kept trying to find pictures and videos of the original carpet, because mine is grey just like that. I kept thinking there was no way it was actually that faded! But lo and behold, that blue underneath looks great!

The heater.box has a moisture drain in it and they get plugged. This causes the water to leak down the fire wall under the hvac box. Take the blower motor off and Vacuum the inside off the heater making sure you clear the drain. I live in canada and I do it once a year

My 1990 gmc c 1500 had rust on the drivers side, under the long wire tray that is next to the rubber seal and the seat, I am not an expert on metal fabrication so I cleans it up and used fiberglass for the repair. Great video. One more thing I don’t know how you can make videos and make them look so good, I can do the work but filming and working at the same time will drive me nuts. What is the secret? So I can film something. Thank you.

I think I did. It was related to the heater core. It seems like mine was a heater core leak or where the hoses connect to the heater core. I show what I found in this video. kzbin.info/www/bejne/bWHXpKR_qb-kqrc

I have had an 89 GMC Sierra SLE since it was new and I always kept it maintained. There are many things to learn about some of the quirks that can go on with them I'm one of your best resources when you run into a problem is to look on KZbin at some of the people who have owned them and dealt with them, but overall you are doing the right thing because the more you keep it maintained and cleaned the longer it will last you and regardless of what some people say they are still much easier to work on the newer ones. Here is a link that probably would've helped you at the time you were working on it, but may help you in the future; kzbin.info/www/bejne/jKrRoXenlt6Se8k
