You're welcome! I agree, there aren't enough travelling organs - lots are in museums or just stored away!

I love the bell ringers moving their heads like the conductor that really makes the organ unique.

Allegedly this is the only organ to have figures like this, although I seem to recall another organ having this too but cannot remember which one.

the bell ringers that move the heads are the 77 key Hooghuly's sunflower in bill nunns collection and also the J.Verbeeck de hoge blekker and ofc this limonaire organ.

Originally a 69 key organ enlarged by Victor Chiappa to 87 then 89 key and owned for many years by Brian Newth in Bristol, it was later sold to Nigel Else who had it rebuilt by Dean Organs who decided to make it more of a G4 scale than the VB that it was and instead of having two bass sections they coupled them together and used the keys for the figures instead, the scale was altered slightly too, i preferred it as a VB organ, the arrangements are by Dean Organs and Jan Kees de Ruijter.

Peter, Scarlet and Gold is a Chiappa arrangement and not a Jan Kees
@PeterMackett2 жыл бұрын
@@scottaustin5362 No,it's 100% Jan Kees' arrangement!, Jim Noyce first had it commissioned after hearing a military band play it and got Andrew Whitehead to get it arranged which he did from Jan Kees who will happily confirm it, no Chiappa arranger ever did this march.

@@scottaustin5362 Scarlet & Gold is by Jan Kees however, the book was cut by Andrew Whitehead. There’s another arrangement of Scarlet & Gold on Herbert Eptons Marengi, but I’m not sure who’s done that. Possibly an old Chiappa or Verbeeck?

@@118Verbeek The version on the Epton Marengi is by Jan Kees although it is slightly different to this version. I believe Slow Boat To China is arranged by Tom Meijer.
