Luke's English Podcast

Күн бұрын

This is a recording of the Zoom workshop I did in April about how to learn vocabulary. Learn how to notice, understand, record, remember and use new words. Don't just stare at word lists with translations. Instead, find some more effective ways to expand your vocabulary.
This video is for learners of English as a foreign language and aims to help people consider different ways to learn English.

Try to express your thoughts and feelings without any buttons. It's easy to press the button but it's not the aim of the Luke's podcasts.

@@user-nv5ny1bt4c I need to set it up, but I have to read the terms and conditions first and be sure it’s a good idea. When I’ve set it up you’ll see the button somewhere under the video. People can click it and choose to offer me a tip. KZbin takes about 30% I think.

❤ thanks Luke. In my humble and seasoned experience the most important thing is USE, PRODUCE, SPEAK OUT, TALK. Repetita juvant. Second piece of advice for new generations: write with a pen, sketch down on a sheet of paper: the phisical act of forming words with your hand widens the brain ability to memorize them. All the best to you 🎉

I started adding words that I encountered and didn't know the meaning of into the Anki app since January of this year, and since then, I have entered over 1,300 words. It has had an incredible impact on my understanding and speaking in English. As someone living in Worcester, England, I have been able to impress my friends with my progress.
