Some things you might have missed 1 When first pulling up to the house you can see Rick standing in your room through the window 2 Outside by the basement door there is ( my home sweet home) written on the door outside basically saying that Rick lives in the basement he also says (my home sweet home) when he welcomes you 3 When the guy from the pizza shop shows up outside you can look through the windows and after awhile he will start kicking down the basement door and after he screams if you look outside the door is open so he was attacked by Rick down there 4 You can see the guy from the pizza shop stalking you throughout the game when you are at the pond fishing he is in the background on a bridge staring at you 5 When you hide in the shed as Mike is coming outside you can see someone in the house I love the secrets in this game

Also like to add the ladder that lead to the balcony is how the fake Rick got in not many noticed that and most people keep the doors open so they eouldnt be shocked if the balcony door was open meaning someone was inside that wasn't mike

Something I just reaized is that story he said about the basement was only to keep people away from his room because he was actually sleeping down in that basement is the theory, because at certain parts of the game you can hear snoring of someone and ocasional rattles, not to mention in the hide and seek minigame when youre in the shed you can see someone walk up from the basement and into the upstairs, which is later found out to be "rick" looking at the sink

I don't know rayll's gender or life experiences but dang if they don't nail the uneasy-but-unresolved feeling of creepy guys hitting on you. It isn't even relevant to the plot, it's just... the world be unsettling and you can't really tell whether you're going to have to worry about that guy again down the road. Works very nicely for the way they develop their plotty atmosphere!

@@llewliet4021 there's definitely more than one way to interpret his actions. I'm viewing his actions through the lense of my own eyes and experiences. He mentions her possibly ignoring all his calls suggesting she's doing it on purpose, yes it could be because of her excuse of phone problems but she's capable of calling him back from diff phones. It took him calling her Work phone for her to answer. Again with the hugs no amount of awkwardness makes it ok to ask for a longer hug when u JUST got one. Ppl aren't OWED hugs, not even family. The "situation" that happened between them happened over a year ago (mention in texts that they all haven't seen each other in a year) had she wanted more she had ample time to start something. Yes this game is a horror and it wants to make the player uncomfortable but the fact that during all the moments where Mike is leaning in with his advances all conversation options are either silence, deflection, or confusion it's very apparent that Sydney is NOT amenable to a relationship. My main point here is that Sydney def should not have allowed Mike to go so long with his hopes, def should have talked about Oregon sooner, but at the same time there's a difference between "Mike's just socially awkward" and "Mike won't take a hint". Which is ick.

I was waiting for someone to say something. Yeah, Mike is a weirdo and honestly, he did kind of give REALLY creepy vibes like he was going to try something on Sydney. I do however think that bro just has no clue and is not entirely malicious. He probably is socially awkward and I honestly wish that he was more clear and more importantly, respectful when trying to ask her out. Asking for s*x is about the most cringe thing you can do to a woman who clearly doesn’t like you. I think it could’ve been really sweet if he just admitted that he had genuine feelings for her and wanted to spend some time with her to ask her out. Mike could be a really sweet man, but his lust and misplacement in values make him come off as creepy and superficial. Maybe instead of demonizing them, we should show them the value in the things that really matter like genuine love and finding good women who do do care and who do want someone who loves them.
