And just about got crushed by a few of those shanks

Why not grease and diesel last thing at night,finish 45mins earlier,grease all bearings and pivots when they are warm. 1.The bearings accept grease better when warm. 2.You can see any failures and know what needs fixing for the morning. 3.No smelly diesel on you the next morning. C'mon Mike,get with the programme. You always get a thumbs up here mate. Greetings from New Zealand.

How many acres/ hectares would you like to achieve per day Mike ? (Per seeder)
@jacobl16573 жыл бұрын
You can figure out an estimate pretty quick with the general formula. Width x speed/8.25 = theoretical acres/hour. Then take that and multiple it by an efficiency factor, probably like 60-70% depending on travel time and filling to get actual acres per hour. So 84*5/8.25 = 51 acres. 51*.70 = roughly 36 acres per hour per drill. If they seed for 12 hours that’s roughly 450 acres a day.

If they are running the drills 12hrs a day would it not be more efficient to have half as many drills running 2 shifts 24hrs day ?

@@brodieallen2173 until you get half the acres done because parts wear 2x faster... down time fixing/rebuilding when could be seeding is very costly.
