I bought 2 Redcat RtR’s this year. Gen 9 Scout and Fusion . They are very good rigs. Both I was able to score while they were on sale. Both of them include many features that you have to add to other RtR’s. I think they are better quality than the big A- - - company. My last A brand was the CJ7. Right out of the box shocks were leaking. Dig servo died on the 2nd battery.

I gotta say drifting has started becoming my favorite. I built my first drift car this year and started going to a local track and they're just so open ended with customization and tuning. Plus all the cool scale accessories you can put on them. It really feels like my build tuned the way I like to drive it.

I just ordered the venture 18.ive been looking at the fms but now I realize we all have the tendency to want all the bells and whistles but just like power windows in a car stuff breaks simple is better. I agree with part of the LC80 take. I have 3 FCX10 Blazers, and have found the fiddly servos everywhere to be an issue. I just got an RC4WD tf2 K10, and appreciate the simplicity.

I am and old It guy so I never get new releases. That explains why I am just now pining for a Gen8 V2. All that said your list looks great. If I was interested in spending a good chunk of money an H10 Optic would be on my list with a Stance. Kit form so I can do it up to suit myself. Smaller Hobbywing fusion, Amazon servo, NIMH battery.... I'm all about keeping it simple.

I know the Zuul isn’t really comparable to the other two but you cant deny that element/associated makes great stuff. It's interesting that we have opposite opinions. Glad rc world has that options. Just wish more brands were cross compatible but don't think that will happen ... maybe never. Don't think brands whom Wan to make money will do any big leap forward in 2025. It'll follow like cellphone; very tiny increments. Like why are we still getting brushed in rtr when brushless has come so far and cheap
