Another nice video Luis! I was parked right behind Jim's car in Lakeland and got to know him. What a great guy and a true gentleman. Congratulations on the Top Flight Jim!

Hi Mike. Glad to hear you’re enjoying the videos. It was a pleasure meeting you, Jim, Joe (blue 1970 convertible), and Peter (silver 1969 with side pipes), and so many other Corvette owners. I’d really like to go to the Mobile, AL convention and I will see if I can make that happen. Anyway, thank you for sharing your beautiful Corvette LT-1 with me and my channel’s audience. All the best! 😊👍🏻

I have that very same car, but 4 speed and I replaced the alternator and tires. I still have the original tires I bought them from the owner. Car has 12,700 miles on it. Is Top Flight possible with a new alternator?

An awesome car and even better with a 4/speed tranny! 😊👍🏻 I am not an NCRS judge, but I believe they do allow “maintenance” items to be replaced. And if it looks close-enough to the original, you don’t get a big (if any) point deduction. I believe they were discussing that issue precisely with the owner of the Silver Anniversary Vette in the NCRS video since someone had replaced the a/c compressor with one that looked nothing like the original. I’d definitely get yours judged. You will learn a ton from the judges. Also great to hear someone saved the original tires. Thank you for watching! 😊👍🏻

@@76vette I've been a silent spectator, but love your channel. Very informative. I live in Cali so I can enjoy my vette year round just like you, but unlike Florida it only rains out here less than a dozen times all year. Keep up the great work!

I was given a 1978 corvette that has same color with 66k miles on it,90% original my question is what color was that interior? Is that oyster? I’m not sure on mine because it’s faded and now has mold on it from leaking t top

According to the Corvette Black Book, amzn.to/3KCRjG9, Silver Anniversary Corvettes (paint code 13/07), were available with Black, Oyster (cloth or leather), and Red interiors. They also had alloy rims, like Pace Car editions. Hope this helps. Thank you for watching! 😊👍🏻

Oyster for sure.

@@76vette With the Silver Anniversary Paint option, you were also required to order the Dual Sport Mirrors and Aluminum Wheels.

Why have a car that you don’t drive? What do you mean original tires? Dude don’t be so cheap and buy some real tires that won’t blow out. Tires are only good for 5-8 years max. Why risk your life and anybody else’s driving around like that. That doesn’t mean the spare tire is any good either. Geeesh. Cars go sour when not driven. Good luck with that.

Rick, you fail to understand the purpose of NCRS cars. Having said that, you are 100% correct about the importance and safety of tires. And while I also agree with you about cars being driven, those “rules” apply to our cars, not other people’s vehicles. Live and let live. Thank you for watching! 😊👍🏻
