Woah cool, I recognize some from Muay-Boran/combat-Muay-Boran. I understand what you mean with feeling it.. Same like alot will enter clinch like slithery, but I sparred with a Muay-Boran guy who entered by hitting my neck side muscle with his forearm, I know now that he did a "Brachial stun" but it was like PAIN. FREEZE. And when I came around he's already thrown me with a slight flick against his thigh so I spun over and I was down while he was holding on to my hand so I wouldn't land too hard (hard-wood floors). Real nice guy who really gave me stuff to think about, learned more in just 3x2min than 6months by a regular "Thaiboxing coach" here in Scandinavia. Great stuff once again. 🙏 PS. It's great as defence against "bear hugs" too, once someone bends your spine past a point you're gone. Throwing your butt out back will prevent that. :) Not so much MT but more self-defence tip. Thanks again anyway I'll patron up when I get my CC sorted, banks in Sweden are totally idiotic. Ask anyone :) Keep it up! Chok dee. 👍

That Ziplock he does, with some practise you can turn that into a front-naked darkchoke, pressing biceps on the artery and the vein. Real scary, you feel it instantly and 3secs in your vision goes and all you can do is tap and have a partner you can trust to not hold too long.. Again, not for Muay-thai but knowing self-defence applications where anything goes never hurts. He looks real tight I understand giving him a spot in the library. 😅

Hin Haale nah, all the opponent would have to do is look up and the pressure would be relieved from the choke, and you would be open to lots of counters. You almost have to be in a front headlock/snapdown position for a darce to work. Even an “armless darce” you need to transition to from the guillotine which is essentially a front headlock.

The technique at 4:40 I believe is also taught in karate, with the difference that the blocking hand also grabs the opponent's wrist.

What stops the fighter from dirty boxing and hitting you in the face? I had this happen to me in a mma sparring session when I tried to grab a plum.

Your knees are going to be way more powerful than his dirty punches,

Wouldn’t your face be exposed to knees? I played with it at my gym and even while off balancing my opponent I felt like I was staring at my own doom the entire time.
@8limbsUs4 жыл бұрын
If you are locking the opponent's neck correctly their posture is such that they cannot knee.
@8limbsUs4 жыл бұрын
If you watch the full hour with Tanadet you will see how he controls the opponent's posture so they cannot knee. It is not a problem in this clinch.

ellbow on backhead when longclinch???
@monkeyishi6 жыл бұрын
just return with a knee to the sternum full power. arms seem to block out alot of the range of motion for the elbow to the back of the head. if i have my head down too far its a problem. plus the hop back means they have to worry about balance. i was at first concerned with knees but the hop really helps alot. source trying it out with a mate

With your arms over the opponents shoulders, it'd be very hard for them to put any decent leverage?
I'm extremely weary of techniques that 1) are not used in the ring and are therefore not proven in any way and 2) require high precision and two movements where opponent makes one. Very often they simply don't work. Or they worked a long time ago when everybody was untrained, but not now.
@6400loser5 жыл бұрын
You can see Sylvie successfully apply this technique when she claims the IPCC world title fight FYI..

whats the point of mauy thai when u can get a knife and gun
@tustudyis4life516 жыл бұрын
Billy Harriton if you study technice you MAY be able to beat the knife. Or if u have a knife & muay Thai but the opponent only has a knife it helps. But at longer ranges nothing hardly beats a gun. Context matters few things in this world are black and white. Even with a gun you have to train to be effective just like in martial arts

@@billyharriton7130 its not that easy man, if u young and bored, around the wrong people then u will get into trouble , we or i, idolized Gangs, wanted to be like them, to be part ofthem,everytime when i trained i was away from that, through the training i got control of my temper and helped me with my anger isues ,i was around people who wanted to become each day a better version of themselves, they managed to insipre me and made me rethink my ideals and way of living, the moment i saw my mother cry because of all the bullshit i done and the problems i had with the police made cut ties to those people. most of them are now in prison , dead or without jobs.
