Not trying to break records, first time out passing 120 mph with the new 1717 1650kv. Topped out in gearing so you can certainly gear higher.
1st test is Sensored, 2nd run is SensorLESS. I was skeptical with gearing taller than normal regarding the motors KV, but it actually performed very well. Next step is CNHL batteries and taller gearing... Motor wasn't straining at all, especially with being on the short road for a quick test.

Always appreciate the testing as I’m having an issue with sensor vs sensor less on a dual esc after a few comments I believe the to motors might be causing my problems as the esc don’t know where the magnet are when starting or I might be able to adjust dual motor thru my receiver but not sure still solving it trying some pretty crazy comments ppl are asking so your channel really inspired my old butt to think again so I definitely appreciate what you do for this hobby and ppl around you 💯💯🔥🔥🙏🙏🙏🙏🧲🧲⚡️⚡️👑👑

Nice rig! I have been running the old castle 1717 in a 1/5 scale redcat xb-e on 8s with a cooling fan for several years with no issues. I did gear down some. The old motor is rated at 6s as you stated,but many people have run it on 8s without problems anyway great content 👍

Dude I love watching your videos lol those 1717ys are bad ass. I got one in my Arrma Granite mega v3. Im going for a world record for a Arrma Granite mega / brushless conversion before I turn it into a monster senton then to a drag rig then to a big rock lol. It's crazy with all we can do with these rigs. Good job on the builds and good luck in the future builds brother.

Love this bro! Nice run, sorry about the spill. I swapped out my Felony's stock motor with a hobbywing 1650 and bumped up to a spare 8s spectrum 160 amp ESC and an 8s cap pack and I'm only hitting 80! :( I was hitting those speeds on a stock setup minus the large pinion.' 29 tooth' My programming and calibration are good and so are my temps. I'm thinking I need to gear up more? Maybe a 1 to 1 ratio? I have a limitless roller waiting for me. I just need to find the right place to run it.

On a Mamba X, If you have smart sense turned on, top speed will be unaffected by sensor use. The way it works, it only uses the sensor to start, after around 10% rpm, it switches to sensorless automatically.
@InnovationRC
@InnovationRC 4 жыл бұрын
Yes that's right, given the sensor portion is vastly more efficient at low rpm, I wanted to challenge if it would be any temperature differences after a run. Being a crash happened after, well, null 😅

@@stankakol5195 new to the hobby and want 200mph? There is a lot of knowledge, money, and skill required to go that fast. Try being a little more realistic, as your skills and knowledge increase so will the speeds. Be happy to do 120mph to start with, your car is already a very dangerous projectile at those speeds. Do you have anywhere suitable to even attempt going that fast? You'll need a surface almost perfectly smooth and long enough to wind up and stop. Watch some vids of how small of a bump in the road it takes to make these cars airborne when moving over 100mph. Good luck Be safe. And be sure to post some videos, I'd love to see a car go that fast.
