From WC USA, I think if the USA & Canada went together on a project for rail & highway right at the 49th parallel using tunnel boring machines like they do in Europe they could create one heck of a transportation corridor from the Atlantic to the Pacific for both Canada & the USA! I realize that they wouldn’t run together until about Minnesota on the US side and I think that could be Manitoba? On the Canadian side So it would be almost like the biggest mountain wasn’t there like the tunnel in Switzerland that runs the trains through it almost like it was at level ground! What a project that would be for both countries!

The Scarborough subway extension is a waste. Three stops spread far apart that go to nowhere. Would have been a lot cheaper and easier to just replace the tracks on the old Scarborough RT with new Eglinton LRT tracks and just extended the Eglinton LRT. The stations, right of way land, track bed/ concrete, signals etc all exist only the track needs to be swapped. Instead they are building a useless subway with half the stations and ten times the cost.
