Domination is one of my favorite modes too. However, Grim is one of my least favorite maps for it. If the your team chooses to camp just outside the circle where they feel safe (able to hide) on either side, you're going to lose if the other guys push. There really isn't much in the way of variability or other paths to victory, at least in PUGlandia. Either you are able to motivate your team to take some fire while crossing and you win, or half the team sits back in cover and you lose. Aggression, as always, is key, but especially so on Grim/Dom.

Generally. It seems to be easier to motivate a push from the good side. But if you get a camper team, especially reticent assaults, you can easily lose from the good side too.

I’ve been with teams that have won spawning from both sides for Domination at Grim. It really boils down to the more aggressive, and coordinated team.

Yeah, i agree, circle should be placed a bit closer to hill with buildings. Team starting from the non-building hill side have clear advantage at the moment :(

How are the IS Highlanders? They have little less armor than a Annialator and better speed. How are the hit boxes and mobility? Maybe Baradul can make a build for it ?

Been watching you for a week now, you basically got me back into MWO (vet founder here). Love your style, and your builds are excellent! I was wondering, it's been a while since I've seen a decent Atlas AS-7 S build. Reason being, I have one of the founder ones and with its spread of weapons (4 Laser [2 in mid low torso], 4 Missile, 1 ballistic, 1 ams) I find it a tough build to run. I tell people, I feel like a druid from WoW, good at everything but not amazing at anything specific. But here's the challenge, or even what I'd like to know. I'm trying to run a max tier targeting computer. Is it worth it? 8 tons/slots leaves me with a small armament. I've tried a 3 er large laser/ac 20 build, but I found with positioning, I'm only able to fire 1 or 2 at best. Then close range, I feel silly using ER larges at under 300. You don't have to do a full video, more so, what do you think of targeting computers and if you were to run a build with one, what would you run it with (keep in mind, it's specific to ppc, lasers and AC weapons). I'm currently trying a pulse laser build due to the targeting computer. I figure, I need to aim for crits, so the faster i can strip armor, the faster Ill be able to kill. Again, love your videos and its been a while since I've watched a youtuber daily! Keep it up!! Lotsa love from Canada! :)

Try some Mrm's and a AC/20, ditch the targeting computer...... make use of the 4 missile hard points and the ballistic one, forget about lasers on the atlas

You know, that's a pretty sound plan. Didn't have MRM's back in the day and SRM's were just death due to low speed. I've fortified most of my armor to the front along with light ferro for extra love. MRM/AC20 would be deadly! Thanks for the tip!

I prefer 2 heavy large in the top mount and 4 heavy mediums. it's a SCARY burn. 5 er mediums on the 6 jump jet loyalty variant is hilariously fun too. Great skirmisher, poptart.

Now that was impressive. I only own the Loyalty Linebacker with it´s 2x Heavy Large Laser 2x Clan ER Medium Laser and i struggle keeping it cool in fights. Once i got more Skill Points that should get better, but right now i cook myself way too quickly. But the mech itself is great, i like how mobile it is.

Nothing. He survived. The game ended before all enemies could be killed because there was no enemy in the circle and no one was shooting at the team in the circle.

That's the same build I run on my Supernova. 4x in each hand, plus jump jets. Not nearly as fast, but Fister Roboto does his job.

Losses are much better teachers ;) I ran a build like this for a while and then swapped out half the heavies for ER meds. Still no armlock ^^

It's a pity the -H(L) only has five energy hardpoints, otherwise that would be a decent build for it. Those omnipods have 5% energy range and HL duration reduction set bonus quirk.

You can run that (swapping out the small for a med and dropping a heatsink) but it's too toasty. Four heavy meds seems to work well, rounding out the extra tonnage with heatsinks.

If you want to experience true salt go into Faction play during events. It's awful some of nastiest (as in jerks) games I've played

The amount of armor this thing can mount on the arms compared to my Novacat (which at most has 44 arm armor where almost all the weapons go) makes me salty. Not only is it better armored in places, it also has better mounts, hitboxes, and is about 1.5x faster. I'm not saying the Linebacker is OP, I just wish the Novacat wasn't made of tissue paper with the perceived sluggishness of a Dire Wolf. I know the NC has better cooling but still... Okay, I'll stop complaining now.

This build is so ridiculously fun. I'm running a variant of it (because I love symmetrical builds) and in 3 games it's already become my new favorite 'mech. mwo.smurfy-net.de/mechlab#i=472&l=72c42a487e4a6e7265a7cec784772be35a5ec524 And I've only got 21 skill points into it so far... Basically, stick with the team, flank, pour a 1-2 80-damage alpha into them and just watch them melt, face-tank as necessary, laugh hysterically as your warhorn goes off and go find your next victim. I also have it set to chainfire for when it starts getting hot and you can literally have a constant stream of c-heavy medium laser that never stops. I ran into a jagermech and just chainfired him to death as he moved backwards and I advanced and just facetanked everything he threw at me. He was shitting himself and it was glorious. This mech is a monster.

Well, yeah the team could push to the front line but because they did not it was his mistake, he separated himself from the team and paid the price.

I feel for that hunchback 100%, and I don't blame him at all. He had very little choice. The timer was going and his team was slowly trickling. I don't even blame the team, its the map! By the time the heavies and assaults get in there the team starting on the opposite side of Baradul has basically already lost. Notice how Baradul pretty much made it to THEIR side of the circle before their own team did. Domination+Grim Plexus = broken

Igor Bukový Balance the spawn points, base it on how far a stock Uribe can go max speed. Spawn 30 seconds away.
