Hi! The increase of Rp (practical range) is due to the contribution of high scatter angle electrons which do NOT pass through as much medium.

Thank you very much for the useful videos. I think that there is a small mistake at about 10:50. The Rp = energy x 5 (and not energy divided by two)

One is in mm and one is in cm. They are otherwise equivalent.

Thank you very much for aploading, this is indeed very helpful, I have a question though; do you have any video where you explain how to treat irregular/ non-square fields using electron beam therapy technique, using the idea of equivalent square??

amazing stuff. Very well put. But because these are basics and hence need to reach everyone who is new to Radiation Physics. So it would be great if you can slow down your speed considerably. Thanks

Can you please slow down your speech, or the speed of your videos. You speak way too fast, and its so hard to catch up. What i end up doing is download the videos, and play it in a player at a reduced speed. Your lectures are good. Thanks for uploading. But its more for a person who already knows the concepts and for whom speed won't be a concern. Thanks again!!

+Med Phy You make a very good point, KZbin's 0.5x playback isn't really an ideal solution. I'll upload some 0.75 speed vids this week.
