I love how you said our little brother ❤, it's so true , in the bible I've heard America is the young lions of Tarshish in revelation . We are a melting pot but if you came to where I live , we have so many things similar with you guys ( I have been to England ) my family stemmed from an orphan who came over on a boat when he was 12 years old from county cork Ireland, the rest is English and European . I'm also an army brat and my dad served 20 years in the army and was over the supply when Bosnia was going on . Never forget

I'm from a small coal mining/glass making town in the North of England. I'm so proud to have stood alongside my American brothers during 3 tours of that country. We watched each others backs and us lucky ones came back in one piece. The whole world will never forget what happened on that day.... My personal memory of 9/11 was that I was in the gym at the garrison with about 30 other British soldiers and we just stopped transfixed at the TV.... after about 2 hours a Sgt Maj spoke and his words will haunt me forever... he said "right lads we better start preparing for what's going to come from this.... our little brother is going to need us. Sorry I was filling up typing that.🇬🇧🇺🇲🇬🇧

I was 22 when this happened. I remember for the first 30 days after the attack, everyone was so nice. After that month, including up to today, everyone went back to being so mean and nasty to each other. The slogan "Never Forget", seems to have gone away, except on the actual day of 9/11 each year. But this was a very beautiful well put together segment.

I was in first hour Bible class during my junior year of high school on 9/11. We heard about the first plane, so our teacher turned the little tv on at the back of class, and we saw the second plane hit live-it was then we knew this was no accident, but an attack. I was absolutely horrified. We pretty much watched tv the rest of the school day, and I remember it being very quiet and somber in the halls as we switched classes. Thank you for this special production. I cried more than once, remembering that day and the overwhelming feelings, the following unified patriotism that seems almost lost today, and all those amazing heroes of 9/11. I’m so thankful for their bravery and sacrifice. Even in the midst of horror, I’m grateful God works all things together for the good of those who love Him and are the called according to His purpose. It seems so dark at times, but still He reigns, and it is in Him that my hope is secure.

I remember noticing it while the first tower hit was burning and not long later they had updated footage with the second hit. My dad ended up watching it with me for a few hours, I got to sleep late that night but most classes just had that on the next day anyway. The next 3 or 4 days I think had wall to wall coverage of the US on 7,9,10, abc. .

Thank you Drive Thru History Team for producing such a powerful & moving special. THIS is the ONE that needs to be shown to our young people that don't have a memory or real connection to living through the events of that day. They will FEEL what WE felt when they watch this special. The part that REALLY took my breath away was about the brave people on Flight 93. Hearing that Todd Beamer led them in the Lord's Prayer & Psalms 23 before they took action.....then GOD did just what they prayed. HE laid THEM down in Green Pastures in that field in Pennsylvania. Their selfless actions for certain saved other's lives. Thanks again for such great work on this special.

And it crashed and they all died. Very sad. But , unfortunately that’s not hero status. If they would have saved the plane , beat the terrorists and the plane landed safely , everyone survived, that’s super hero status. We can’t call people HEROS for no other reason then we feel sad for them that they have died in this not very nice incident

I'm sorry, but I would not call this a "collapse within its own footprint" as stated by the mis-informed tour guide. That falling debris completely destroyed several other adjacent buildings and fell many blocks away from the building's footings. A collapse within its own footprint would by definition NOT involve destruction of other buildings. And those intentional demolitions are initiated from the bottom of a building, not the top. This description is a critical error which leads sadly to the mass proliferation of incorrect conspiracy theories, and I believe disrespects the souls who perished. I do not understand how anyone could watch the footage observed through countless accounts, and call that as such. I also do not understand his wording about "melting of the superstructure." This is also incorrect. The steel did not melt, it was hot enough so that it deformed and could no longer withstand its rated load (which was designed and implemented with extremely adequate safety margins). The steel lost integrity, particularly in the floor trusses. Once many floor trusses sagged and pulled away from their mounts at the columns, the columns had no lateral support to keep them from buckling. This can be seen in videography at the very beginning of the collapse where the walls appear to be slightly pulled in as the floors sag. Although the visible outwardly columns appear to sustain most of the structural damage, those that were damaged carried a small fraction of the load of the structure, and in reality only carried about 5% of the load since all the wall columns carried 40%, and the core 60%. It was the core that was the most vulnerable to the impact and fire, and finally gave way after standing for nearly an hour or two respectively. The second tower hit was hit much lower and unevenly on a corner, hence vastly more weight was above it, accelerating its demise compared to the first tower. It also fell toward the corner that was hit, further demonstrating the weakness of the structure in the vicinity of the impact. Nearly 20 floors can be seen initially moving and tilting as one solid mass as it began its conversion from stored potential energy into kinetic energy impacting every floor below in succession. Once that process starts, there is nothing that can stop it. Certainly not a measly 4-inch slab of concrete on the floor directly beneath the cave-in. And certainly not even the next one. Or the next 50. Because it just kept getting heavier, with more and more speed. Just my two cents.

Man, talk about tears. My prayers for all who died or were injured and the first responders, those who did what they could to help, many of whom gave their lives, Todd Beamer and all the heroes on flight 93, Lisa Jefferson, Richard Cyril Rescorla, the 2687 souls he saved, the 13 Morgan Stanley employees that didn't make it out, the 748 residents of New Jersey who lost or gave their lives on that fateful day. anyone else who was saved, the 184 lives lost at the pentagon, the children, and all their families and friends and loved ones, and anyone I missed ❤😫😭😢. Thanks Dave. My prayers to you, our military, our veterans, police, and firefighters, and all patriotic Americans as well. Powerful indeed. God Bless America! We are all just Americans, Dave, as you said, but only 20 years late, to many have forgotten.

Tears? You’ve got to be kidding. Yes it’s emotional, but no it’s not nonstop crying. The stuff people like you post for attention these days. It’s disgusting.

I was there in the 5 train stuck on Fulton Street. The train station was full of smoke they attempted to let us leave the station but suddenly our ears hurt so bad within seconds the dust overtook us. We ran back into the train until the firefighters came. There was no air and total darkness. We were evacuated through city hall. When I was getting i asked a police officer is it bad? He answered just run. I saw so many people injured the cloud of dust was so huge i thought it was the end of America. I will never forget. Thank you this has made me cry so much but it also shown that we survived. God bless America

💖I can't believe I'm seeing this again. I keep saying, "Oh, my God!" over and over. Just like when it happened. As they say about the Holocaust, we must never forget. The people trying to tear down our country from within haven't a clue as to what they are doing to this wonderful country!

This happened Tuesday 9/11, The last day I was working before my upcoming wedding on sunday 16th.I was a retail manager and we were having customers coming in and telling us what was happening. The atmosphere was unbelievable and we were all in shock. Our honeymoon was booked for America the following Tuesday but we couldn't go because there were no flights. My memories of this particular week is very bitter sweet. May God rest the souls of everyone who was lost and our thoughts are with their families 🙏🏼 very very sad day in our modern history 😔

Wow!! I have watched many documentaries about the events of 9/11 but I learned some new information with this one. I had never heard of the Memorials in Shanksville, PA or at the Pentagon. Such a well made documentary. Thank you for showing so much respect to all who gave their lives on that day.

This might be the best documentary of 9/11 I’ve seen. I was only 6 years old when it happened but still remember it vividly. As one of the youngest cohorts who can remember that day, it’s very important that none of us ever forget. After us, these events will slip into the pages of history books

It was a Tuesday evening when the first reports of the attack came on our live tv news here in Australia… my wife and I were transfixed way past 4am Wednesday morning when we finally had to turn it off… we remember it as if it was yesterday… it’s such an awful shame that so many of the American public have either forgotten that day, or simply believe it was a gross conspiracy…

Thank you for this video, I was 11 when this happened and to this day I've never seen any of these memorials besides the freedom tower. The wind chime memorial made me cry, very beautiful. Thank you again for your dedication and effort to make this great video, I believe it needs to be shown in schools everywhere, the message at the end is very important for our young generation to hear. They have not experienced a traumatic attack on our nation like we did, they don't know patriotism, and how important our freedoms are. They take everything for granted, when they hear defund the police they blindly agree...very sad.

I was 17 when this happened and our family was glued to the TV here in the UK when this kicked off and I'll tell you that up until this point in my life I'd never witnessed anything more shocking. This was the point when I realised that there was a considerable amount of hate for the US for anyone to have went to such lengths. All those peeps killed and for what?
