Do I think by any standard I am dancing great or look in shape here?... no. I am not, simply put. However posting for my own self assessment and reflection to hopefully keep progressing and getting better. I started dancing again last semester after not dancing for five years. so I'm trying to give myself some credit....
• I do like my ankles and legs in the first eight count.
• I think my stomach and lower back is a problem and needs to be ten times stronger.
• I don't cross my leg over in the pas de bouree as much as I should.
• I definitely wished I had attacked the turns in the beginning, however I felt like the floor is slippery when I do these turns. They are challenging and fast, so I kept safe with singles. We didn't really do warm up turns before doing this. Maybe that would have helped me to have done cleaner, less sloppy, and sharper double turns. Not single. In the first pas de bouree sections, my legs are never completely straightened out and are bent mostly the entire time.
