Thank you for this video!! I have the same motor on 15’ tracker Jon boat. It also runs like crap. I bought the rebuild kit and it still runs like crap. Cleaned jets and any hole it has. I’m going to buy a new carb next. What are you running for top speed? Top speed for me is 17.2. Also to note that you want to make sure that any screw adjustments are the same as the original carb. Turn the screws all the way in and count how many turns it makes and then do the same for the new carb. That makes sure you are at least running it apples to apples

Some tips on keeping your carb clear so you do not have to rebuild it every year. Run the gas dry every time you put up the boat. Use fuel stabilizer and only ethanol free gas. I have had a motor run for 17 years without a rebuild.

@@OutofWORKoutdoors I did this too per advise from the guy i bought the motor from... at the dock before loading into trailer.. detach the gas line from the motor, let it idle and run till it stops (dry). And i use SeaFoam Marine Pro (blue label).. I use half the bottle and dump it into the portable red gas tank, and fill the rest with fresh fuel. Up here in Canada, ethanol free gas is hard to come by so I use the Seafoam and it's been good to me so far.
