Yeh I been watching a long time & seen him on logs & the mud was as high as the cab door ! Those little rescue's he has done too going into stuff to rescue rental stuff thats got the cab & engine compartments half full mud !

This of my favorite type of pond episode. Dredging combined with pond rebuilding including rebuilding the damn and some clearing. Not to mention, sooner or later there'll possably be a bonfire. Watching pond Master Chris is definitely a pleasure.

My partner and I dug 9 feet of that mess out of about an acre and a half pond at the first of the year. Took us about a month of digging and relaying mud back. We was glad to see the end of that job for sure.

At the 20 minute mark on time lapse, it gives a real good idea of the depth and slope of the pond as well as how well the finish will look. This is going to be a sweet looking pond when done, you have a good start for sure, thanks for the update, this is a good series, enjoying watching.

We got hit by the extreme outer edge earlier today in south Miami-Dade just above the Florida Keys. 25 to 30 knot winds. Monsoon rain. Our parking lot under 2 feet of water. Drains flowing up instead of down.

Chris, its Thursday Sept 26, 5:30pm .. im sitting in my recliner watching you dredge this pond out.. & in just a matter of hours Im going to be experiencing 70+mph sustained winds from this Hurricane .. Im in Meriwether County, Georgia.. its is to pass directly over us here in West Central Georgia.. last really bad "storm" we had was in 95 from Hurricane Opal.. I'm not sure but those logs might be Southern Yellow Pine. When you broke a few of those trees, they were very spindly. Pressure treated lumber is typically yellow pine that is very strong wood because of all those big long fibers.

There was a couple of square miles of valley bottom in Norway turned to mush & slid into the sea because of the ground being disturbed to put in foundations for a barn. Silty soil is strange stuff.

For those of us that are analytical, how much farther is the reach of the 350 vs 220 and how much bigger is the bucket vs 220 finally what is the ratio of fuel consumption to dirt moved for each???? I know the time factor is involved also.... Looking forward to staying in the Air BnB soon!
