Runelite is honestly the best thing that has ever happened to oldschool runescape. I have chosen a mix of brand new plugins, as well as old ones that I have yet to cover

RuneLite honestly continues to amaze me. I'm constantly finding features that I'm just floored even exist. And then oftentimes I'll get so used to a feature that I don't even realize it's RuneLite and not an official OSRS quality of life feature. RuneLite is easily one of the best pieces of software of any kind I've ever used. Now that I'm used to it, I could never play the game without it. Just a note, the max draw distance in the GPU setting is 90, not 60.

Guys, sorry I have a dumb question probably, I've always wanted to use a 3rd party client but I've never liked how Jagex says, they can't guarantee your account safety. Does that mean in terms of Runelite hacking me? Or there was stuff I heard about some plug-ins being detected as bot software? Would I be safe from any potential bans if I simply used it for GPU mode and the skybox?

@@lazlodallama8994 They can't guarantee account safety because it's third-party software. Personally I am literally 0% worried about bans or getting hacked from RuneLite. JaGeX have already declared it's legal, and they aren't about to hack ppls accounts. But your decision. I'd say the risk is infinitesimally small.

8:25 the most useful part of the inventory tags plugin for me is being able to highlight your switches so you can tell right away if you misclicked. I set my range gear as green, mage as blue, and melee as red. It's also useful when pickpocketing master farmers, you can highlight all the seeds that are worth keeping and drop the rest. Great for the herb seeds that all look alike

makes me wonder, why dont they remake OSRS with R3 graphics and rest of the graphical QoL features? Sure the old bitter vets would probably pop a blood vessel, over anything really, but apart from that it wouldnt in any way negatively impact the game and would enrich the experience for vets and new players alike

The developer tools won't show up for me in runelite even though I've updated the clients properties. I tried reinstalling runelite and everything but still no luck, any ideas how to fix this?

they dont work anymore, detached cam is seen as a cheat and should only work for content creators with a special orb selected by mods

@@bigboss-wr5hb I know I'm 5 years too late late, but I just installed "detached camera" on Runelite. It wouldn't work so I turned off "key remapping" since I have keys remapped, and it worked like a charm!

When I do the insert --clientargs "--developer-mode" into the target it doesnt open. I put a space after the .exe and after clientargs and it just doesnt let runelite open anymore

Reinstall runelite from the website. You dont have to uninstall. Once you do that boot the program back up.

when i turn gpu on, if i go in a specific area like hespori cave, or a random ladder ect, my client crashes, I have a "decent" pc, not some random ass 500 dollar walmart prebuilt, so im clueless as to why this happens.

just did the switch from osbuddy pro to runelite because of the skybox. im on a mac laptop so i dont think the gpu works with macs, cause i click on gpu and it shuts itself off right away =/

The GPU plugin makes my client freeze whenever I enter a separate area- be it a cave, clan wars, my house, etc.

Does this client has plugin to show your enemys current attack style? For example Jad where you need to do prayer flicking? And yes.. I know Jad is easy boss and everything but never tried myself.. so just asking around.

Hey guys is Runelite actually safe. I really wanna use it for all the features but I heard it was made by osbuddy which was basically a bot company a few years back, and also heard they hacked accounts back then too before bots got nuked. Just wanna really make sure if it safe and wont hack my account or download a key logger on my computer. Thanks for any information.

the inventory tags plugin is pretty good when it comes to like cleaning herbs or enchanting rings, you can easily see which herbs are still dirty and any rings thats you skipped, pretty useful... probably many many other good uses too

@@OhNikk how though, sometimes the grimy herbs blend in with the other clean ones and you don't see them, same with the rings .. especially when doing hundreds at a time, I don't think it's lazy I think it's more for the opposite type of player, tedious stuff like ring enchanting and herb cleaning isn't even a lazy task to begin with

Its faster to bank 25 out 28 clean herbs and then pull out 28 grimy instead of studying your inv to look for the last 3 grimy herbs. And doesn't the unenchanted version of the ring have a different inv model? I'm not 100% on the second one because I'm a normal account so I just buy fully charged rings from the ge.

Yes it tells u ur bank total , seems to be completely accurate too. And if if u hover over items it will show the value.

2FA & don't click phishing links, same rules as official client. RL is opensource so you can see what's actually in the code, it's safe to use. I honestly can't believe people still play with the official client in 2019 lol

I would say 30-50 is good. My internet ping is 22. Lower = Better for osrs world pings and ur internet connection ms/ping.

it depends, if your on a foreign server even 150 is good, but on a local server you should expect below 75 most of the time. ping very rarely matters on osrs tho unless youre an HCIM or doing high risk bossing like the vid mentioned

It's funny because that feature which piles items together to show Big Bones x 17 was actually out on Osbuddy before Runelite.. Also a lot of these features are standard on other clients and are not special to Runelite. The colour marking of items in the inventory is pointless, if you don't know what an item is in your inventory after playing the game for so long then maybe play another game.
