I once changed my fundamentals to mimick allison. I adjusted my stance where now my head is in perfect alignment with the contact point. I was always inconsistent with my straight shots but now i hardly miss. I still need work on position 😢

I've played with both and played with wood for years and while it took me a few months to get use to carbon fiber shaft I shoot better now with it. But honestly you give me a broom stick and I'll make a good run of it. Good players can shoot with anything.

WOW! That was a masterclass. The humor between the few was funny, and I really like this female commentator. Nice voice, funny, and excellent analysis, some of the best I've seen. Her capability to see the shots Allison took was almost perfect. The only times I saw differences was when Allison did something unexpected and more clever or when there was more than one option available that weren't largely different. percentage wise. There was more than one game in here where Allison placed the cue every time within about an inch of where you would put it ball in hand. The couple of times she lost the cue ball a little bit she just made the next shot and back in line, or set a good safe. If only I could play one fifth that good. Villarreal made some very nice shots, and quite a few horrible ones, and some very bad decisions. She made the racks she got through, except one that was excellent and another OK, about five times harder than they needed to be. She really let her stroke out a few times, though. And yes, that stroke is irritating, IMHO, the very best in pool. SOOOO consistent, so textbook perfect. Villarreal gets my vote for funniest pool player under extreme adversity, which made the match even more fun. Not something I could do.

Prime Balukas probably would beat Alison more often than not, but your flippant dismissal of Alison’s game was off the mark. Being the second best player of all time is nothing to sneeze at, and her accomplishments cannot be denied. Plus, the competition when Balukas was dominating was much weaker than the field of players Alison has competed against. Also, I have seen Alison defeat men on the pro tour on several occasions, so I don’t know what you are talking about when you said she could not beat the weakest man on tour. Could she win consistently on the men’s tour? Probably not, but to say she could not beat any man is simply not true.

Everyone forgets that Allison didn't join the women's tour till she was almost 30 cuz she was busy being a world champion snooker player with over 80 titles and 6 world championships. She's got over 60 pool titles and was unmatched for 2 decades on the women's tour. How many titles would she have if she switched earlier? Her fundamentals might be the best of ANY player I've seen. Jean also didn't contend with the level of competition that Allison has faced over her career. I think the 2 of them would be pretty evenly matched. If you don't see that level of skill watching Allison you're simply being biased.

@@billysikes1374 Funny you should mention Karen Corr. Allison had a 62-28 record against Corr playing snooker. Karen came to the US three years after Allison yet Allison still managed to win another 40 titles AFTER she got here including 2 of the 4 World 9 ball championships she won total (Corr runner upped 4 times without ever winning it). As for Allison quitting because of Karen Corr, you're delusional....Allison won 3 titles just last year. Karen was ranked number 1 on the women's tour twice, Allison was number one 8 times, 4 of them after Karen had been number 1. You've got no clue and just want to argue.
