No offense to Mary, but Jean balukas was the women's pioneer. Notice the women Champs never bring up her name. That's because she was so good, she was beating men. Look her up. She was frighteningly good. The women, more or less, conspired to kick her off. Look up her comment that got her fined and she eventually told the wpba to fuck themselves. They hated her because she was a freak. A prodigy that actually grew into her talent.

@@janetairlines1351she snapped at the referee because her opponent kept hitting 9's on the break and said "...I don't mind losing to skill, but not luck" She was pissed because the racking and positioning was favoring 9 ball movement directly in on the break. I know if you are off a bit, you can make a nine readily. The comment is heard on the KZbin video and the other women complained to the league. She was fined and refused to pay. Her sponsors and others pleaded with her to let them pay it, but she refused. Wasn't the first time they complained about her, but it was about how she was so good, they didn't feel it was fair for her to play. It started to play on her mentally and she would be off from time to time, but noticeably being mentally bothered and not hampered by abilities. She was playing on the men's circuit and I believe reached the top 10. Ridiculous even in this day. She was giving mizerak and mosconi runs for their money. Fischer is the closest female player I've ever seen that is even close to Jean.

@schwartzenheimer13 жыл бұрын
It's thin plastic (Mylar), and has holes punched in it where the balls should be located for a tight rack. Since it's thin, it doesn't significantly interfere with balls rolling, and insures an accurate rack for both players, regardless of the condition of the cloth around the spot.
@monerz14 жыл бұрын
Many players now use multiple piece cues. Some have 4 or 5 pieces to them. This allows flexibility. Some even use a masse' shot on the break in order to confuse opponents.

It's a scandal Allison Fisher has never won the BBC Sports Personality of the Year award. Her achievements in Snooker and Pool are phenomenal and yet she's been completely ignored. No doubt the BBC have decided no matter how brilliant you are at your chosen sport if you don't fit into their highly politicised, biased parameters, you won't get a nomination. Not many women have won the award, but the ones that have were clearly nominated by agenda not sporting achievements. Can you believe Zara Phillips won it in 2006 because she managed against all odds to fluke winning a horsing event. No doubt the BBC jumped at the chance to sycophantically suck up to the royal family that year.
