I love Tele’s. I don’t call myself a collector or anything because I play the Tele’s I’ve got. From Custom Shops to my Squier CV ‘50’s Tele (which I play everyday still). I especially love unique Tele’s. Like my Brent Mason and John5. I love those guitars. Because they can sound so different! But still be Tele’s! I was considering getting another CS until I got lucky enough to snag one of the new Jack White Tele’s. It is the most unique Tele’s I have by far and it is so cool in my opinion. I think it’ll be a few years until I’m able to get another guitar. But I would die a happy man with any one of the guitars I have already. Congratulations to those that find one of these guitars as one of their own someday! 👍

Honest question... where would you go if you wanted to feel all the different neck carves that the custom shop offers? Are there certain accounts that would have samples scattered around the country?

I would honestly say either here: Casino Guitars or...Wildwood Guitars for the West. I would try to find a shop that has a large selection of pieces in their showroom available to sample. If we can help in any other locales, just let me know and we can offer recommendations.

It can become somewhat overwhelming and in the case of the custom shop...you really can mix and match features from all of the years making the year sometimes...just body contours....it's a strange and fun world!

Rarely does any Fender peak my interest, but that charcoal and black T is sick. Way above my paygrade though. I'd have to dump half my collection to clear it. Looks aren't everything, but does that bad boy check the badass box or what? Wow! Peace!

They are truly a piece of functional perfection and art to us. I do not like to say better, but for sure different. If you have a chance to play a well setup custom shop anywhere out there, the qualities that make them so special shine through rather quickly. They all have 5 way switched on this group...even the 54. People really prefer those over the 3 ways almost 99% of the time from our experience.

It is always different, on a batch like this the wait was very different but typically you are looking at anywhere from 8 months to a year for anything from the custom shop.

It’s really simple Custom Shop Dealers ARE the customers of the Fender Custom Shop(even if it’s a build for a specific buyer). The Custom Shop IS NOT sold direct to buyers like the rest of Fender’s product line.

We keep a nice supply of custom instruments that we spec out for purchase by anyone. We also do individual pieces for folks daily that are reserved for that player. We tend to keep in stock anywhere from 50-100 FCS pieces available to purchase at any given time. I hope that helps and thank you for watching!

I made a strat with a tele route and a gibson scale length. Relic'ing is not my thing. in the guitar world there are things that make me cringe, 1) relic'ing . 2) The modern denialists I.E everything made after 1970 is garbage in spite of the drastic improvements in literally every related field. 3) ToAn ChAsErS
