You are laugh out loud funny! So enjoyed your honest humor and cute trailer, I'm an old lady (over 70) with a tiny Scamp trailer so really appreciate your Trillium. Thanks for the tip about the bed tray! I have one and never thought to use it in my trailer until your video. I also keep my bed up all the time and have sometimes have one of our 4 dogs camp with me. Keep doing what you love and you'll always love what you're doing 😉

Nice work that you have done. I use a Raspberry Pi 3b as my computer with a portable TV that also plays DVDs. A router is installed to create a private network, then devices such as Raspberry Pi, IoT devices and security devices, like video monitoring/motion detection (MotionEye with a Raspberry Pi). I also have 2 AGM batteries and 140W solar panel to power everything.

By far the nicest interior I’ve seen on one of these small fiberglass campers. It’s beautiful, serene, feels spacious and relaxing, yet has everything you need and more. Also like how the guest “quarters” are made so comfy, pretty and practical. Nice job! (The only thing I don’t personally like is that whole pee situation.)

The pee situation is definitely not for everyone. If I did it again I'd drill a hole in the floor and put the funnel on the opposite (non-kitchen) side.

You and your trailer are pretty hot ! Nice remodeling job as well... I have the same trailer and have been working on it while still being able to use it . Next job is to remove the windows and put new frames in and do a complete body job with paint and then install the Maxx Air Deluxe exhaust fan that arrived yesterday. Nice video with good helpful tips ! Thanks

@LaurenRudick Жыл бұрын

This but plus a composting toilet that separates the liquids from the solids. I'd want some kind of showering option. I could do upper body stuff and feet at a sink but I would serious want a wet bath. i've considered rather a smaller size van buildi, but simpler than what most people have. I am well versed in alternative ways of cooking so a camp stove or just one burner would be no big deal. I lived four years of my life in a dorm and in places where I might not be able to use the kitchen so had to make do with microwaves, hot pots, plug ins skillets and camp stoves. I would want a farm house sink with a sprayer faucet that could be pulled into an adjoining tiny wet bath or even outside. I have seen those and I think they're great. One woman had that at her sink and then a pull out hose in the back of her wan and curtains for places she could shower "outside". I also saw a great "no build" where a woman had a water tank but had light weight stuff that was easy to set up outside.I thought that was really awesome. I personally would like a sink though where I could wash up and then a composting separate liquids from solids toilet so you don't have to have a black water tank, only a grey tank. I would need AC and I didn't see that in the no build. It would be hard to not have AC

Hey - looks great! We have a 1973 trillium. Just wondering how you were able to move up the propane stove, sink, and faucet so that it could be level with the plywood counter-top? Also, how did you mount the backsplash? There's an indent in the middle of the fibreglass so I'm assuming you put up a flat sheet of plywood first? Thanks!
@LaurenRudick3 жыл бұрын
Hey- on my instagram highlights I showed how. I stuck a piece of wood on the indent. I saw some folks just glueing the backsplash to a foam core board and then using double stick tape to get it on the fibreglass. We cut a new hole for the sink and faucet and chucked it in.
@devote14163 жыл бұрын
Your trailer is almost exactly what I would do if I had one. I watched a vid of someone that did a Boler remodel and where you now have your couch, they built a wall across that area, 3/4 on the sink side was made into a tiny toilet/shower area and the other 1/4 on the front door side into another closet area. So if I took your style and their layout BOOM! perfect trailer for me. I also LOVE your lantern. Oh, and Shein has a pee funnel for women for like two bucks that might be easier to pee into and you can also just use it to pee into a jug instead of draining it onto your friends lawn. If you are still having problems with peeling paint in your cabinets, try sanding it down and using marine paint. What do you use for heat?

Yes like the idea of coming home at the end of a day. To tow my home with me every day seems a pain. The only thing I see with like a van is if something happens, if you did not connect you can leave. Other than that I'd rather have a small trailer. Peace!

Nice. very littel black dress. Reminds me of Frederick.
@wwz10113 жыл бұрын
Battery charge will last less than a day if it runs the fridge. Your choice of running it on propane is good. That lower fridge vent door is important. Without it, rain will enter the trailer. Directly under the fridge is a piece of plywood. Under that piece is the plywood that makes up the main floor. You do not want rot in the main floor. The Trillium design makes floor rot very difficult to fix. Prevention is the key.

I am restoring an old Scamp right now. The previous owners used peel and stick contact paper years ago to cover all the wood doors. The dampness in the trailer caused it to get wrinkled.

Backsplash plywood could probably be attached using contact cement. Inside the top cupboards there is also access to go behind the wall with 3/4 " pine strips ,possibly 18" long, that could be held in place while the backsplash is screwed to them (predrill holes for the srews).
