9 Days - Tramp/Hike - Gillespie & Rabbit Passes - Mt Aspiring National Park, NZ with ABW 2019

A nine day walk (24th February to 4th March 2019) in Aspiring National Park, New Zealand with two members of the Adelaide Bushwalkers club (ABW), three doing Gillespie Pass. Full route entering via Young River and exiting via East Matukituki, and taking in Gillespie Pass and Rabbit Pass. (Maps BZ12, BZ11, CA11).
We were fortunate to have suitable the weather for doing Rabbit Pass.

A brilliant track report and very accurate - I share your sentiments regarding the descent from Rabbit Pass - did it in 2018 with rope to lower our packs - the most beautiful pass I have ever traversed, but really don't need to do it again 😅 - my profile pic is actually from the upper Wilkin valley just before the Waterfall Face.

Thanks for the feedback Felix. It is a beautiful area indeed. Definitely only do Waterfall Face/ Rabbit Pass in good dry conditions, as the grass is really slippery even with some dew. Cheers.
