Kudos to Hank Azaria for continuing to audition, even after not getting the role of Joey. This perseverance allowed for him to be cast as David, a memorable recurring character.

The Grudge got mixed reviews, and Scooby Doo did actually bomb- it got a ton of negative reviews (32% on RT, 35/100 on Metacritic, 1/4 stars from Ebert). So yes technically speaking both movies bombed (at least critically).
@jovongarrison974Күн бұрын
@@antoniacosta6221 The Grudge made a 187 million dollar on a 10 million budget and Scooby Doo made 287 million on 84 million dollar budget. Studios don't care what movies like these do critically as long as they make profit and both these films made it profit back and some. Also, they spun sequel movies. That's not a flop.
@Robmc0381Күн бұрын
@@antoniacosta6221 a bomb refers to the box office, not critical acclaim. Both movies made massive profit.

It may be just my opinion but Outlander is one of the best cast shows ever on TV. One or two of the people aren't really as they are described in the books but have become part of the people they are playing.

Completely agree! If there is any weak link, it would be as Sophie Skelton as Brianna. It could be more that I am just not a fan of that character. She is certainly a fantastic actor.

@TheFrugalAudiophile I think the kid that plays Ian doesn't look like how he is described by Diana but he's a pretty good actor, he just doesn't look like what I imagined he would.

I think it’s unfair to say disastrous. In another reality, if Bryan Cranston was mentioned as having almost gotten the part of Walter White, he would’ve been written off as ludicrous. Not saying Matthew Broderick would’ve been good or bad in the role but you never know… He was actually pretty passable in Daybreak as the baddie

Guess Jon Cryer learned his lesson. At least he got rich from Two and A Half Men. Get your money and then practice your art or whatever. Some of my favorite casting, the Whole Buffy and Angel casts actually. Everybody who made it into the main casts were fantastic. I loved Michael Rosenbaum as Lex Luthor in Smallville. Again a show that was wonderfully cast, despite the unfortunate futures of some of the actors. Everybody in Leverage, Lucy Lawless as Xena, Matt Bomer and Willie Garson in White Collar, Tony Shalhoub as Monk and omg Tatiana Maslany in Orphan Black as everybody.

anyone trying out for a Robin Williams role is a downgrade. but Richard Lewis is brilliant.. and personally I disliked Friends, so whenever I hear alternate castings I wonder, but honestly the shallowness of the show was it's real shortfall. I probably would have hated it with anyone else in the roles. same for Seinfeld... ugghhh... and Katie Holmes gets too much hate. her worst role was as Mrs. Tom Cruise... killed her career.
