Am I the only one who found Identity horribly obvious? I mean we were told how many identites are there and there was literally counting happening with every murder AND they were supposed to take the kid and keep driving the car yet after the car explodes everyone just forgets about the kid? I mean there was not even a sentence like "oh my god Timmy died cause of Edward" or any indication that Timmy (who by being a kid was most important to keep safe until the car exploded) died in the explosion or exploded or burned or anything. The film just went on like instantly forgetting about the kid everyone seemed to care about and actually went back to the kill count yet no one could... I don't know count to ten? I mean where the fuck did they think the kid is or how did they get 10 without 1 ffs. I get that this happened in a brain of mentally unstable person (the misrepresentation of this illness aside) but for fuck sakes there was a room full of supposedly smart people - doctor(s? Idk), judge, lawyers, prosecutors or whatever it doesn't really matter but lol all supposedly smart people - and NO ONE could add or count to ten? The psychiatrist had a list of all the identities for fuck sakes and he crossed out the ones that died yet he also magically forgets? I mean not only was Timmy the only kid there (and there were TEN identities not a hundred ffs) but he was kinda the most important one - I mean psychologically speaking of course. He had a traumatic childhood in which he created other identities to deal with the trauma - that's how it happens in real life and the psychiatrist in the film even explained that to the others yet he still just magically forgets about the kid who is the core of Malcolm's identity and just... idk assumes Timmy died? Even though it doesn't add up? I mean there were other victims after Timmy and all of this would actually make sense if they changed one simple thing - the kill countdown. If the countdown accepted Timmy as a victim and moved forward accepting that Timmy was eliminated it would make sense. Hell, it would actually be fucking awesome cause it would bring Malcolm to his core, which was a traumatised child, and reveal an awesome psychological twist on so many levels. Yet the plot twist is supposed to be the moment when the film seems to be screaming at its viewers: "CAN YOU NOT FUCKING COUNT TO TEN" 😂😂😂 I really enjoyed the plot twist with Edward being Malcolm and I was sure I'd love that movie but then Timmy happened lol. I've been needing to vent about this film for like a year or two lmao so thanks for your not intended opportunity for me 😁

I've *never* considered Carrie a villan. She's an innocent victim who finally snapped after being pushed to breaking point. Even in the book when she razed her hometown to the ground I felt sorry for her. The years of built up rage, hurt, humiliation and anger came pouring out. Once the flood gates in her were opened that was that...she couldn't stop what was happening. Just my two cents...😘
@IGot7RevtinyArmyStayOnceBlink3 жыл бұрын
This is 2 flawed cents though. She killed everyone in the town [in the book], and a lot of innocent teens died in the movie. At the end we do see what she sees which is everyone laughing at her when we know only those assholes who got what was coming to them where laughing which was like 4 people out of everyone. She then proceeded to murder everyone because of bullying when people were trying to help her. That’s like saying a school shooter was the victim because he or she was bullied... this logic doesn’t work at all. Not trying to come for you, just saying.

I really don’t think Carrie’s actions make her a villain. She’s simply giving back what was given to her, and never hurt anyone unless provoked or threatened

The thumbnail cracked me up. As an RN who knows how defibrillators work, I can assure you that you cannot administer a shock in that manner as there would be no discernible cardiac rhythm with the paddles on either side of the head. “ Search Results Featured snippet from the web No, the AED will not allow a shock to be administered unless a specific 'shockable' cardiac rhythm is detected.” (I’m a former cardiac ICU nurse btw)

Pele from Midsomner should be on this list as well.
@eddiejc13 жыл бұрын
I don't know, because at no point in the movie do you think Pele is a victim. Interestingly enough, even AFTER you know what he and the villagers were planning all along, he's STILL a more sympathetic character than most of the real victims in this movie, save the British couple, whom I half-expect were put in the film just to show how the OTHER characters SHOULD have been reacting.

One could argue that Trent's character in 1994's " In the Mouth of Madness " was actually the Villain, as it was he that solved the dissaperance of Sutter Cain and brought his madness back to the world, going so far as for him to laugh as he realizes this curse would envelope all life.

The movie "Identity" does this three times. (spoilers) . . . . . . First, with the revelation that all of the people stranded at the hotel are characters -- personalities -- invented by serial killer Malcolm Rivers. Ergo, one could technically argue that ALL OF THEM are the villain. Second, it's revealed that he actually had MORE THAN ONE homicidal personality, and that Samuel Rhodes is actually a convict. Finally, it's revealed at the end that neither Samuel Rhodes or Robert Maine were the homicidal personality. Instead, it was Timmy York, who actually did ALL of the killings.

I get what everyone says about Carrie as she was relentlessly bullied and pushed into what happened. She literally snapped in the end. But I presume she means from the horror POV in that she kills almost everyone, not that she was inherently evil. But I’m pretty sure if I were in her situation I probably would of snapped in the end too, especially having such a crazy mother who abuses me and then ties to kill me!!

I'd say Pamala Voorhees counts she started killing because of the negligence of the Camp Staff caused her child's 'death' Ironically her death caused Jason to start killing .... the camp staff's actions would ultimately give rise to a Killer Revenant who has proven to be nigh unstoppable. Dakota Johnson in Suspiria remake. In original Argento movie, Suzy Bannion was main protagonist, and in remake, she is pretty much the same right up till the third act of the movie where she decides to join witches covenant then proceeds to viciously murder every witch from the covenant that opposed her, including the ancient witch Mother Helena Markos, in order to became new "Mother" leader of witches covenant. Basically, at the end, she became one of the three most powerful beings on Earth (which would be Three (ancient witch) Mothers).
