Jim McMahon. 25-0 as a starter for the Bears, 1984-1987. Still an NFL record for consecutive winning starts. And done in a time where you could hit the QB. Beat that, Brady.

Where can we find this stat…at first I thought it was incorrect…but then I saw that he entered the game late vs. the Dolphins due to injury in ‘85. Do you have a list of the other games and his starts? I would love to see this. He wouldv’e been a first ballot HOFer if not for the cheap shot vs. the Packers Not sure it’s correct

Seriously? And you're not going to give the credit to the Bears Defense? Beat that Brady? What you should have said is "Beat that NFL defensives."
@qualityherbsonly Жыл бұрын
😂😂 He had one of the best, if not the best, defense of all time. He never threw more than 15 TDs in a season. And he only threw that 15 once. He averages less than a TD per game over his career😂😂

Imagine how frustrating it must have been for Jimmy Mac to go from a pass happy style offense in college to having Mike Ditka calling the offensive plays. MCMAHON: "It's 3rd & 15, Mike." DITKA:"Let's line up in the shotgun and hand it off to Gentry." MCMAHON:"Oh, Christ..."
@joeblough261 Жыл бұрын
Ha. I loved Gentry - dude always seemed to get that 1st down on 3rd down running plays. But yes, McMahon was an air-specialist, and Ditka was old school. Plus they had Payton.

What could have beens are always a tough pill to swallow but I’m willing to bet that guys like Jim Kelly, Dan Fouts, Dan Marino and even Warren Moon would’ve given anything to have won just one.

If Charles Martin doesn't do what he did the bears win 2 or 3 super bowls easily.Jim was great in that era of football.He was 3-0 vs the niners leading up to the 1988 championship game.The offense couldn't get going and I believe Tomczach could've beat them.But it's a ton of what ifs.While ditka and buddy feuding Walsh,parcells,and Gibbs where winning super bowls

Just think, if any other quarterback that has passed through Chicago had half of his heart and intelligence, we wouldn’t still be talking about him. Until then, like it or not, he set the bar for that franchise that nobody has even come close to since.
