Would anyone else have loved an anime in this style of Super Mario instead of just a movie? I'd much rather prefer it over Super Mario Bros. Super Show. Luigi was hilarious in the movie.

I wouldn't have. I thought Super Show was just fine. This was ok, but little more than an interesting novelty, to me.

i do.(my favorite nintendo anime along with the kid icarus shorts,the pikmin shorts,kirby:right back at ya,fire emblem & star fox:the battle begins.:3) this is way better than the super show(though i thought it was okay.) as it really did introduce a lot of the games elements like bowser kidnapping peach out of love attempting to marry her(before super paper mario & odyssey.),mario 64's way of defeating him,luigi having character before luigi's mansion and actually remembering the backstory of the original game(bowser using his black magic to transform everyone with princess peach's magic being the only way to stop it being the original reason for the 1st games events.) making a accurate,faithful & most importantly fun adventure of what they had of the source material. i'd love to see another mario anime with all the characters it has now(wario/the warioware gang,waluigi/captain syrup,the kongs,pauline,e. gadd,king boo/hellen gravely,bowser jr. and especially princess daisy & rosalina would be awesome to see animated.) and i hope with the upcoming movie we get more nintendo animations like this(would love to see kid icarus,star fox,zelda in botw/the oracle games/wind waker style,a successor to the kirby anime with the new characters,super smash bros. just for bayonetta/joker,banjo kazooie and cloud alone,a fire emblem anthology series,splatoon focused on the squid sisters/off the hook,warioware & pikmin focused on 3's captains.) also loved luigi in the movie(would love to see princess daisy for her moments with him alone.:3) and his greed being a foreshadowing to wario.

@@JoseHiggor really hope we see do the mario done by the one we know now as i really loved after watching it the new mario movie embrace the super show origin,rework the 1993 film(and some of this film.) & in general take advantage of the new material the series has expanded to which is what i always wanted with a recent mario adaptation/make me want even more adaptations of other nintendo series(especially kid icarus after that easter egg that made me grin.:3) .

The best damn soundtrack in the whole movie, and to think that this anime wasn't released outside Japan... Sad that it is that way considering that this is the only good anime/cartoon/movie that is based on the Mario-franchise; the movie was a disgrace to everything with Super Mario Bros name on it, the Super Mario Brothers Show was mediocre at best and the other cartoons were pretty decent. But none of them beat this movie; they matched the voice-actors perfectly (quite a feat considering that the movie was made in a time where the Mario RPG's didn't exist and Mario was completely mute), the plot is pretty damn good for an anime made in 1986 and the characters and settings looks exactly like they do in the game.

I don't think so sorry, I recorded all the soundtrack in 2 parts, side A and Side B, separated the tracks with audacity, I then uploaded everything here, the list of tracks on the back had the track length on them so I knew when to separate them, nothing was missed. I've heard somewhere that there's a cassette version of the soundtrack, maybe that might have it on.
