I think I love the sharpie lines because they are firm and sure, while at the same time having an air of utter abandon. Kind of a magical combo, IMHO.

OOH... I was hoping, at some point, you'd get to adding this technique (adding additional details with pens or hand-painting), very nice - I love! I very much like the loose outlining, but you have lots of neat marks in your artistic toolbox. Well done! I hope you explore this more... 😉

I absolutely LOVED the last print. It's one of my all time favorites for color and shapes. The collage remains an integral part instead of being buried behind a layer or two of paint. I wonder if you could have used a bit to brush work to define the edges a bit instead of the sharpie?

Using brushwork as a final layer is very tricky! I felt I had more control with the fine point of the sharpie pen

The uninterrupted surface of the first print is followed by the hand drawn semi defined spaces of the second. The change of format, overall unity or separation, adds to viewing interest in this video. Will the black line look just right or a bit severe when you revisit the print? No doubt we will find out.

I like it. Very much. Hope it opens things up for more great ways to work. I am doing very different things to you on my gel plate, using white posca a bit like this. I am not that sure handed with thin barrelled pens and like the heft of it. I lost the middle of a really nice print and decided I would do creative repair. I liked what happened so am using gel with multimedia approach though I wished for a different name, it sounds a bit too like DVD design…. I had to argue with myself about when is a print a print and when does it cease to be one, then thought even classical prints were added to, like colour being added to an etching, or tints to an engraving, so I said “don’t be so purist you do not have to fight, there is an abundance of materials at your finger tips to complete work the way you want”. And things started to look the way I want… 30:21

I think the masks were applied on the wrong side on the image.......the orange was supposer to print on the right side.😮
