I saw the video when you came off Finasteride and I am really happy to see the growth update in this video and the cheerfulness in your voice. I hope the growth continues to go well.

Thank you for sharing your hair loss journey. I used Propecia when I first noticed thinning at the crown. I used it for approximately 16 years (from 1998 until 2014). My only issue was the high cost. I estimate that I probably spent a total of $12,000 US dollars on Propecia during those 16 years. I stopped using Propecia at the beginning of 2014 and tried generic finasteride for three months before switching to Saw Palmetto, a natural alternative. I maintained a full head of hair for only four years after I started taking Saw Palmetto. In 2018, my hair started thinning on the top and the crown. I tried generic minoxidil off and on after that, but it irritated my scalp, so I stopped using it. My hair looks exactly like yours now. I still take Saw Palmetto, but it doesn't seem to be effective anymore. Since I don't want to spend money on Propecia again, I think I will try using hair filler fibers to cover my thinning areas. Thank you for the video you posted five years ago on how you apply the hair filler fibers to your hair. My hair texture and style are similar to yours; so hopefully, I will have positive results using the hair fibers.

Yea the spot in the back of the head where the whirl is my hardest spot to get to grow .I get good results from generic finasteride but will see if I can get the actual Proscar .it's great you can stop loose your hair and get it back .my understanding was if you did get a good result and stopped your second go around wouldn't be good .so that's encouraging as my wife too wants a baby

I ALSO lost transplanted hairs. Thanks for mentioning that, no one believes me, not even the doctors. I got on topical dutasteride and it all came back 🎉

@Keratin Brotherhood by DJ Dykes I was shedding every two to three months. Did a little research. Added Nature Made Iron 65m once per day and the extreme shedding has stopped. I rarely shed at all to be honest. It's been months. No guarantees. Just an FYI

I'm not sure it's the propecia vs the generic thats the difference, I think switching to brand Rogaine is the real difference. So many off brands are not made in a control environment, also finestride doesn't regrow the hair as much as people think, it makes those tiny ones big and strong while the Rogaine regrows. Keep it up you look great!

Yeah I also got the impression that you were done making videos after the last one you posted a few months ago. I'm very happy that you came back to update everyone and to share these results with everyone. Pretty awesome stuff man. I'll have to look into some of this. I've been on finasteride and minoxidil for over 2 years And I haven't really seen much improvement or hair loss. Just kind of chilling right in the middle

Have you tried batana oil. And also detoxing your glymphatic system, its said that hairloss is from a blocked glymphatic system, aka poor circulation in the head and scalp

Would you ever consider a smp tattoo? I tried minoxidil and it made my prostate swell up. It was the absolute most horrible feeling ever especially as a 26 year old at the time.

DJ, I love your videos. I've been taking finasteride for about 8 months or so and I've started experiencing tenderness around my nipple (I am male) and did some research and saw finasteride can lead to gynecomastia or some word like that. Have you ever experienced this? It also said it increases your risk for breast and prostate cancer.

Why don't you get brand name proscar and cut them into 4 pieces, amounting to 1.25mg per dose. I've been doing this for years and my hair looks good, and it's cheaper as well. Proscar is also made by Merck and is pretty much the same thing as propecia, just a higher dosage.

Great to see you again! Been following you since the beginning of your journey! Have you heard from Dr. Vaño (one of the most important thricologist globally at the moment) that taking dutasteride at low dose (like 2-3 times a week) may be safer than 1mg a day of finasteride in terms of side effects? (Not talking about combining the 2 drugs, I know you already did it)
@keratinbrotherhood11 ай бұрын
That's an interesting insight! Though I've never dealt with any side effects so I'll stick to my current regimen. Thanks for sharing! -DJ

From what I can see in the vid his donor area is no longer ‘sufficient’ enough to give him the further full coverage he would need on the top of his head. In this video at 11:56 where you see the back of his head you can tell they’ve already had to harvest a significant amount to get his hair outcome to where it is now so anymore harvesting would be near on impossible without causing permanent trauma damage to the area. However… some hair transplant clinics can and will use grafts from either the beard area underneath the chin or the patients chest instead, provided you are fortunate enough to have hair in either area of course, as you can potentially use those hairs to help maximise coverage in the crown and top area of the head so that could be an option for him to explore if he hasn’t already done so?? But all in all I think his hair looks great so far and those aftercare products he talks about have certainly helped! Hopefully they help his hair grow even further 🤞🏽😃

Bro, why not take some of the hair from the side and back, you fade it anyways. Take some of it and transplant it. You could easily get 3-4K grafts from it. 2k on the top and hair line and 2K on the crown. It'll make a huge difference especially now with fin and min you'll be solid and happy. I'd say add dermaroling again as well. I'm telling you bro, that faded hair is gonna be there for a very long time since it's not sensetive to dht, might as well put it to good use lol. Other than that your progress is looking great 💪🏾

Are you using a micro needler? Combining a micro needler + minoxidil is the way to go. Stopping finasteride will cause extreme loss of everything you grew.
