Thank you! it's been a bit of a labour of love tbh, sometimes I've just wanted to go out there and wash the bugger without filming. That's largely when the GoPro has been on my head so I didn't have to do anything special. I also didn't expect them to be going this long! BUT it's useful insight, it made me appreciate the Obsidian more actually.

Great video! I enjoy the honesty at the end where you said the car doesn’t do many miles and that it only gets washed once a month, so people can get a real time longevity to their conditions. Great long term test

For me both of these products RRP are way over what I would normally pay for a good wax, but as you say if you can get them cheap enough then buy it. I got the TW deal for the polish, to the max wax and flex wax X2 for £30. Which is a fantastic deal by any measure, and I;ve been enjoying the products. Great tip re clogging on the coating, time to get some carpro reset ;)

Glad you found it useful dude. I'm kinda glad they could last this long as it helps justify the price....but when there's an offer they suddenly become very good value.

Another good video with some great video editing skills too, I've previously used the TW Flex wax and been very happy with it, I've just got another bottle of High definition details Graphene QD and it's really blown everything out of the wated i've tried previously, the gloss level is something to behold. I'd definitely put this on your next order 👍
@SuperchargedLlama Жыл бұрын
The ceramic/graphene QD isn't something I've explored much yet, I tend to use QD as a drying aid rather than an additional step after the drying (because I'm lazy and knackered all the time 😂). But they are good toppers of course. Thanks for watching as always darling 😘

@SuperchargedLlama I was after something a few weeks ago and it wasn't ideal weather as it was very hot so I thought I'd try the HDD Graphene QD on one black car and FSE on the other, the difference was night and day the graphene was really is something else.

@@markmoore6264 when you say "something else", what criteria were you judging it by?
@markmoore6264 Жыл бұрын
@SuperchargedLlama The gloss levels were something I've not seen on a non machine polished car. It has a slight filling capability and plays well even in hot weather. I've previously tried Beadmaker, Dream maker Megs Hybrid ceramic wax but non of them had the wow factor that the HDD product has. I spoke to Shane at HDD and he's had some good reports back about it.

Handy this video has come out…. Been looking at the obsidian, or something along the lines, looking for a sealant type chemical that will give as close to a years protection as possible whilst keeping that glossy look (ill probably top up with a QD), did look at the synergy lite but I cant machine polish, therefore dont want to clay, and worried that will effect the durability of it, plus obsidian looks like a piece of cake to apply, would you recommend the obsidian for what Im looking for, or do I just take the punt on synergy lite
@SuperchargedLlama Жыл бұрын
That's an interesting one. Synergy Lite is very forgiving, and whilst it won't last as long as it would with a full prep, a chemical Decon (iron, tar, mineral deposits) will get it very close. But whilst it is forgiving, it is still a ceramic, so you can get high spots etc. All easy to rectify, but something to just keep in the back of your mind. It shouldn't put you off though. Obsidian was a piece of cake to apply though, absolutely as easy as it seems in the video. I'd have no issues recommending that as a winter sealant. I think I put mine on in late October or early November.
@pigeonpoo1823 Жыл бұрын
Thank you for that. Really glad you said how often you washed your car during the test period. So, for your next test, use one lsp all over and wash the passenger side weekly and the driver's side monthly to see what the durability effect is. On a white car that will look spectacular!😅 Cheers and keep up the interesting work!
@SuperchargedLlama Жыл бұрын
Blimey, that sounds like a lot of hardwork, but it would be a great test. And I want to put the Infinity Wax Synergy Wax on the car for winter. Hmmmmm, I'll consider it. Kinda worried about driving with a half dirty car though 😅

Amazing test. Real food for thought. Is the newish Koch Chemie Hydro Foam Sealant S0.03 on your radar for products to test? It looks like the best price per wash out of all the spray and rinse coating products.

I'm on the fence about that, I spoke to a couple of people who said it wasn't as good as PW, so there's not too much point in trying it, ya know? Never say never of course.

Hi, just got into car cleaning been watching your channel...auto care hq..epic automotive and a few others. I’m just after some advise..after waxing my car with turtle wax seal and shine sealant all went on great and gave good finish then it rained heavily north of England ha ha...left big water beads mainly on roof...sun came out dried leaving the spots mainly on roof worst being on flat panel and some on bonnet.Will the wax protect the paint till it’s washed only been done a few days ago..because summer has returned too hot to wash!! Any advise on a foam cannon MJCC AVA 3 bottle cannon or Halfords Autoglym cannon. Sorry about the Novel! Appreciate any advise thanks
@SuperchargedLlama Жыл бұрын
Hello and welcome! Thanks for watching the video. Good questions btw. You should be fine with the big fat waterspot on the roof, that should come out next time you wash. If you find that it doesn't, Koch Chemie FSE is a quick detailer with waterspot remover in it and is perfect for these exact situations. With regards to foam cannons, I don't like the MJJC V3 S, I've a video on that actually. I do REALLY like the Ava premium one, I use that a lot and it's always superb, so I'd recommend that one for sure. The 3 cups it comes with is a party trick too.

4:30, Garage Therapy Auto Foam, well... which one is it? 😂 Quite impressive from both products though to hold up 9 months & impressive to see what the WSR can do for coatings. Imagine KC FSE would achieve similar?
@SuperchargedLlama Жыл бұрын
Yeah it's a new collab I'm pushing for 😅 it's Bilt Hamber. I had actually used FSE on this at one point, I didn't film it, that didn't make much difference really, FSE isn't really that effective against waterspots and mineralisation that develops over time, it's best used after a wash to remove any waterspots inflicted by the wash.
